Pull Down Closet Rod
This is an awesome addition to a small closet! It's easy to install. It's very sturdy and it works great. It adds a ton of extra storage. I'd buy it again.

Adds to Closet Space, but a Bit Flimsy
I recently moved into a home with "designer" closets. Although the height and spacing of shelves and closet rods is adjustable, the top "roof" panel of each closet space is well below the ceiling. In my previous residence, I installed double-decker rods in every closet, shirts on top, pants below, for maximum utilization of closet space. Unfortunately, the constrains of my new closets preclude this solution. There just isn't enough room to sufficiently separate the rods, so the tails of my shirts overlap the hangers below them. Either that, or my pants are dragging on the floor. This is actually the second of these ingenious "pull-down" rods I've ordered, from two different manufacturers. I removed the unnecessary "roof" panel of my closet in order to do the installation, which was generally straightforward and not difficult.Unfortunately, this product was much less sturdy than the pull-down rod I'd previously installed, from a different manufacturer. I had planned to use the device to store some heavier coats--but weighing much less than the product's 80-pound load limit. The rod itself just wasn't up to the task, and prone to bending. Fortunately I have the point of reference of the first (superior) product, or I might have assumed this was an issue with all these pull-down closet rods.If whatever you plan to hang is quite light, then this Usego Pull-Down Closet Rod might be an appropriate solution. BUT I would definitely take the "heavy duty" in its description with a big grain of salt.
