Bought less than 4 months ago. It worked great the first few times at the range, and I thought I’d found a great option that doesn’t break the bank (so much so that I’ve bought two other Cyelee optics since). Last weekend, I was shooting and the optic went flying. The mount’s screws had sheared off flush with the slide. When I picked up the optic, it had a nice crack in the rear glass. Not completely shattered, but enough. The screws, where they sheared off, were stuck in the slide. I don’t have any screw extractors small enough to work with the 6-32 screws, so I’ll have to pay a gunsmith to remove them or just buy a whole new slide.Of course this all happened after Amazon’s return window closed, so I can’t even get my money back for the optic. I’m thinking of returning the other two before they have the same problem, and writing off Cyelee.

Update2. Price went from 160 to 260. It was worth it for 160 but not for 260. You’d be better off getting the version from Griffin or C&H which are made with acro footprints. At least then you can direct slide mount or get a reputable conversion plate that won’t break mounting screws.Build wise it’s not bad looking. Housing isn’t any bigger than other big name enclosed dots. Window is kind of narrow in comparison. It’s like the size of a Holosun EPS carry which is pretty small for this size a housing. Lens has a little fish eye throughout. The dot is nice and clear and does decrease for use with nvgs. The rmr plate is not correct at all. It’s undersized which means on a pistol slide the plates rear doesn’t contact the slide. That puts all the recoil force on the screws which explains why there’s complaints of the screws breaking. The 2 holes up front that would mate to recoil studs are over sized and loose making them useless for recoil stress which again puts all the stress on the screws. I’m going to use this as a back up for my AR with the supplied plate and screws. Hoping the screws will be fine since there will be way less recoil force.Update: I have 3 of these on 3 rifles and they all held zero for at least 20 rounds each (223 and 6mm arc). I learned that the version of this dot from griffin uses an acro footprint so you can get a proper fitting plate for pistol and not have the screws rip in half.

Be realistic and don't pretend yiu are an operative that will be beating people with yiur tool, or using ut as a boomerang to fight cement! I run these in courses with pros and regular folks. I've ran up to .44 mag and even on a 300 in mag. ZERO ISSUES. Over 8000 rounds in the one we have tested on multiple platforms. Long to short, side arm to bench! I LOVE THIS OPTIC...like all I run by Cyelee. Mind you, I have Steiner, Aimpounts, Trijicons and so many ithers. More than anything I run RMRs and Holosuns as sidearm optics or offsets as my favorites...but these are EASILY my choice for loaners and student dota and have pr9ven that they are worthy for LIFE choices. Currently it is now HOME on a short mount atop a LEVER ACTION 357 MAG, with can and IR laser/illuminator and it will stay there. What an AMAZING set up. May not be super bright under NVG, but it is usable. Has NEVER lost zero.

So this is pretty much a clone of the Swampfox Kraken for a much better price. I picked this up for that reason, it also seems to have better specs than the Kraken as well. Cyelee also offers a 3 year warranty which is comforting. Cyelee isn't new to the pistol optic game, they've been making them for a while now. They are a Chinese manufacturer, but the QC seems well managed with their newer optics.Pros:-Shake Awake functions as it should, I've tested it and it does shut off after 5 minutes and turns on immediately after any movement.-Construction is solid, well built, battery compartment is o-ring sealed. Reminds me of all the other red dots I own, no lack in build quality.-Design looks great, aesthetically pleasing, fits well on a P80 slide. It's actually not that big width wise. Fits my RMR cut holster just fine.-Push buttons are tactile and big enough to adjust brightness with ease. It does get very bright, so when shooting outdoors, the red dot has no issues defeating the sunlight.Cons:-The RMR screws that came with the RMR adapter plate did not fit my P80 slide at all, they do not screw in all the way. I almost contacted Cyelee but I found out my old P80 optic plate cover screws fit it perfectly.-Packaging is lackluster, could be a little betterOverall I'd say this is a solid enclosed optic for the money. Cyelee has better listed features than the Swampfox Kraken, so I went with this optic.The viewing port isn't gigantic but it's similar to my RMR type 1. The glass color is clear though, not blue like the RMR.Cyelee really did a great job with this optic, I'm glad it's on the market. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a mailbox optic on a budget👌

Have this mounted to a 10mm Glock 20, only about 150 rounds through it but no issues yet so I’ll say if it’s tough enough to handle 10mm it should stand up to anything else I have. Plan to order another for my GP100 eventually. Glass is clear, build is solid, holds zero, and price is great for an enclosed sight.
