Q: How many shoes does this generally fit?

Depending on the type of shoe & size I get 4-5 pair per drawer, so generally 8-10 pairs in the unit

Q: Can this kept in shaded outdoor area (no water or sun but open in the air)?

I probably wouldn’t risk it, unless you seal it . It’s standard particle board.

Q: Could this be used to store soft winter weather gear (gloves and hats) and masks? Would they fall out the back?

Drawers would work well for that, maybe not wet though

Q: I only received 1 box it should be 2 how do I get the second?
