This tool works great!
Fine, precision tool. Sharp. Well-made. I like that the spring is like a cylinder rather than a simple spring. I had one with a simple spring and it kept falling off.

Great pruner
Built strong and works great. Trims 1/2 branches and is sharp.

I prefer grip on less expensive ones
Grip is better on same brand

Sharp, strong, easy to use
These have been great. I've disassembled a number of medium-sized bushes with these and they're as sharp as day one. Highly recommended.

They work ever bit as good as they look.
These are the nicest bypass pruning shears I have ever owned. All most to nice to use, but I do use them. When I'm done, clean them and hang them on my wall near the back door like art work. LoL Yes they are that nice. I should mention that they work ever bit as good as they look.

High quality Pruning Shears
My last three pruners, all bypass types, all eventually "sprung" and could no longer make complete cuts reliably so I decided to try an anvil type, and based on very positive experience with a pair of Japanese loppers tried these from Tonma. They sit very nicely in the hand, are very sharp and require a relatively light squeeze to make clean cuts. The jaws don't open as widely as my last pair of Coronas but maybe that's a good thing as it keeps me from trying big cuts that are better handled by loppers. The safety switch is easy to use and intuitive to find with the thumb, and important feature. Great pruners!

Amazing! Really that good!
So I'm out there cutting up all that stuff I have trimmed from the trees, and my wife says I should use the pruners that I had bought for her, which are these. Tell her Nope not going to do it. Mine are fine. They are special pruners that have been modified to enhance their cutting ability, and they cut great. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well, she knows my hands hurt at times, and Insists I use hers. So to make her happy I do. And they are amazing! Snipping through 1/2 inch branches with ease! Mine were a lot better than regular pruners given how they were modified and enhanced when they built them, and these are that much better than mine!! I didn't see how mine could be improved upon, but these certainly do. So after I'm done typing this I'm going to order a pair of my own. Believe me, you should to.

Excellent quality, but NOT a bypass pruner.
These are obviously of very high quality, but the description says "Bypass Hand Pruners" and these are an anvil style pruner. If you don't know the difference between the two, it's an important distinction. Search for "bypass vs. anvil pruners", but in a nutshell: bypass pruners are better for live stems and branches, and anvil pruners are better for removing dead wood. I'll be returning these immediately.UPDATE: Following my initial review, seller promptly removed "Bypass" from the description, and so I've changed my overall rating from 3 to 4 stars.
