Moderate price alternative which seems to do a good job. I confess I am not an expert. I just want a communication system that works.

I use them out in the ranch. Need longer range from the original.

Way better than I thought. I got 9 miles on GMRS handheld radios. There was a little static, but we could understand each other.

I put this antenna on an analyzer. It has AMAZING swr in both the 70cm and 2m bands. check out how flat the swr curve is compared to a stock rubber duck (which actually isn't all that terrible)

There are more expensive options but I took a chance on the 2 pack. I'm glad I did, they appear to improve the distance, quantity and quality of the frequencies I can receive!

NOT GOOD ...DID NOT EXTEND RANGE IN NORMAL CITY NEIGHBORHOOD USE LOADED WITH SIDEWALK TREESAS A MATTER OF FACT I LOST RANGE BY ABOUT 1 CITY BLOCK WITH THESE LONG ANTENNAES WHICH I THINK IS WEIRD?

The plastic base is thicker than other brands of antennas, so it doesn’t want to fit snug on my Baofeng or Quansheng radios. SWR is close to 3:1 throughout the 2 meter band.The shorter factory antenna that came with my Quansheng UV-K5 outperforms this antenna by about 3 S-units on receive.

Got this for a old handheld radio works great.
