Good MIG welder for absolute beginner.
The welder is worth the money. For a beginner like me that wants to learn MIG welding, this machine is very good. It comes with all the parts needed, inclunding the gas regulator and fittings. Easy to setup, although instructions could be clearer and with more photos. It comes with a veru handy table of settings for dufferent thicknesses of mild steel and wire gauges, however I would have liked to see also settings for stainless and aluminium. One word of caution: the welder comes without a mains plug fitted and requires a 16A socket/plug, however it runs fine on a 13A socket as long as the fuse is fitted and the output current is kept below 150A. Overall the welder is well made, easy to use and sturdy. A bit on the heavy side but not too much.

An excellent product, good solid performance, easy to use. Recommended.
While not the most basic MIG welder you can buy, this has few bells and whistles. But it was just what I was looking for. It produces nice smooth welds on both light and heavier mild steel. It's easy to set up with individual controls for amperage and wire speed. The fact that it is easy to change to gasless operation (which I have not tested yet) is a bonus if you have an occasional need to work outdoors when there is a breeze, etc. It is even easier to change to stick (MMA) welding, simply flick a switch - there is no need to disconnect the MIG torch. Performance in this mode is equally good. It comes with a gas regulator and spare torch tips in both 0.6mm and 0.8mm, and the feed roller has 2 grooves, 0.6mm and 0.8mm as well. Switching from one wire size to the other just requires changing the tip, removing the feed roller, reversing it, and putting it back in, a two minute job. I already use an R-Tech TIG welder which I am very happy with, so had no hesitation in buying this MIG welder. I have not been disappointed. As before, the service from R-Tech (quick delivery, happy to answer questions and quick to reply) was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this product to anyone looking for a good solid welder for hobby and light workshop use.

Good kit
I'm not a professional welder, but after my frustrating basic little MIG died a death while repairing my old classic, various products were scoped out until I read the reviews and watched the video on this product. Nice bit of compact kit, good reviews on it, glad I spent a little extra, the variable/infinite settings produces far better welds than that old thing I had with 1-2-3-MIN-MAX settings. Would like to have a go at the TIG attachment for it too at some point (something else to learn)Remember to avoid welding fumes people, it be nasty for ya!

Absolutely awesome kit for the money
Although Chinese made, it is made under R-Tech's strict supervision so therefore it is quality. Exceptionally well made and works faultlessly. You CANNOT buy a hobby welder of this quality and price anywhere else. Most importantly of all is after care service, not that you'll need it with R-Tech but if you do you won't be disappointed. Outstanding after care service. (no I don't work for R-Tech)

I like it!
After having first made the mistake of ordering a Rohr welder that turned out to be broken after days of trying to get it to work. With instructions that are not worth the paper they are written on. I sent it back.R - tech welder was running in a few minutes after getting it out the box. The quality is great with really good instructions in English with pictures. Real quality so far, though I haven’t had very long using it at all and can’t wait to get some time to get welding.

Great welding set
very compact welds well my last welder was a Sealy 180 but I wanted to try this inverter type welder and was pleasantly surprised with the weld quality and the build quality of the machinei would recommend the purchase of a weld trolleythe only downside I could say is it will only take a maximum of 5 kg wire roll
