I really enjoy this set and have already made many quarantine driven cocktails with the help of my new boston shaker. I always thought the boston shaker would be hard to use (aka that I'd spill everywhere from not being able to get a seal) but it's pretty much idiot proof from what I can tell. And clean up is a breeze (you literally just shake soap and water inside like you would a cocktail, wipe with a sponge for any sticky bits, and rinse).Just please be sure you DON'T put it in the dishwasher. I made that mistake and the beautiful copper-coating started bubbling and actually wore off (it looked like it had been scrubbed, but no scrubbing had occurred). I didn't know the copper-coating was not dishwasher safe and reached out to the seller, and even though they told me it was not supposed to be dishwasher safe, they sent me a new boston shaker so that I could be sure to display the beautiful set in my bar.So 5/5 stars for both beautiful, well crafted, and easy to use bar tools as well as the impecable customer service from the seller. Definitely thinking about buying another one as a gift.

The Boston Shaker set comes packaged in a very nice box and would make a great gift for someone who is into bartending. All four pieces are well made and are easy to clean by hand. I watched a YouTube video on how to separate the two cups after you have filled them with your ingredients and shaken your drink. It's easy enough to do - just squeeze the bottom shaker to break the seal and they separate nicely. Nothing leaks when shaking a drink. I'm still practicing with the strainer - not as experienced as some bartenders but once I get the hang of it I'm sure I'll be happy with it. Like every device there are some techniques to be learned but this is a fun object to learn on.

Despite its simplicity, this boston shaker is far superior to the last one I used. Granted, I am new to the cocktail scene, but from the very first time I used this product, it became clear that you really do need the right tools for the right job, and this was the right tool. If you're new to cocktails, and entertaining guests like me, you can't go wrong with this setup. On top of that, the folks at Top Shelf do a good job of providing a personal feeling to thier service, as well as promt processing and shipping. I even ordered a bar spoon set from them shortly after receiving the shaker.For the price, quality, and service, I don't think you could go wrong with this one.Pros: Durable stainless steel, Intuitive design for the filter, directions provided for newbie plebs like me, and great quality for the price.Cons: I live in an apartment with paper-thin walls. No one has issued any noise complaints yet, but shaking cocktails in this, or any other shaker for that matter isn't exactly covert ops.

I have been looking for a good one of these. There are so many different types and all of them are the same - except this one! There is a trick to opening this but its easy once you get the hang of it. And it comes with that cool strainer as well as the shot measurer. Really love this!!

The parts and pieces look like they should, they work like they should, and are easier to use than some alternatives I have used before. Not the cheap west, but a high quality feel. That is exactly what I was looking for.
