Appears to be good quality and sturdy. Superb value and delivered very promptly.

Not the best quality - the top winding handle is a little flimsy, but still very good value for the money. I wouldn't put this on a heavy trailer or even a boat trailer where it is likely to be submersed, but it works fine on a lightweight camping trailer.

My old jockey wheel was pneumatic - a daft idea as you need to keep them pumped up and when they get a puncture it's worse than having no jockey wheel. This one has a solid tyre so that will no longer be a problem and at this price you really can't go wrong. Only time will tell whether this will last as long as the more expensive ones but I see no point in paying top dollar for something that will regularly get immersed in salt water and rust just as quickly as a cheaper one. This seems to be made well and the design locks the wheel in place when fully retracted rather than leaving it loose to flop around. It winds up and down easily and has a high load rating so I'm sure will do the intended job perfectly well.

Ok but packaging damaged

Initially I was overjoyed at the quality (and the good price). However, one year on and during the caravan service the man pointed out to me that the tyre was completely split and needed replacing.On the basis that the jockey wheel is not used in the down position very often or for very long it would suggest the quality is poor. The reason why I have given it 2 stars is that as I would have expected it to have lasted longer than 16 months.
