I knit custom socks, this little tool saves time with a calculator, figuring out rows and stitches required. Very handy.The Only down side is I find the red slide a little flimsy.. but for the price it is reasonable.Excellent for new knitters... although you may need google to translate the instructions...Basically found the stitches in the grid... look for that number around the edge of the arc... put the red slide over this number..Then look along the edge of the red slide, this gives width of knitting required.. the clear strip indicates the number of stitches...If the width is not there you simply add together the required numbers..ie if you want 13 cm width you add together the number of stitches for 10 cm and 3cm.. hope this helps!

It could do with some comprehensive instructions to get the most out of it. But that’s down to the manufacturer not the seller. I’m sure it’s a fabulous product if a bit thin

This device is amazing. I can never knit or crochet to tension. This works it out for me and I can even make smaller patterns bigger.Simple and easy to use.

I have never used a knitting calculator before, and bought this for 'new' (which is how it was listed). The order arrived fairly promptly, but when I unpacked the calculator I found that while the frame part looks new, the pointer piece is quite extensively scuffed and scratched on both sides, which makes me suspect it is in fact a second-hand pointer, possibly salvaged from a returned item and repackaged for new. Hopefully this does not affect the accuracy or durability of the item, but when you buy a new item you expect it to be unmarked, especially for a reputable brand such as Prym. I would have contacted the seller before reviewing, but there was no such option offered on the order summary page.

This item is worth its weight in gold for any knitter. I spin my own yarn so I make up a tension square, measure and I know exactly how many stitches I need within seconds.An excellent tool for a knitters basket.

Wanted this style of tension measuring tool for ages. This one has the bonus of helping you calculate the results quickly and easily. Really pleased. Prym products are usually good!

It takes a little time to understand the workings of this gage for a beginner but not too difficult if you are an experienced knitter. I have had a different one for years so was able to explain to my friend but she couldn't do it on her own.I assume she'll become proficient with use.
