A Shout Out For The Good Guys Of The World!
I loved this book, it is so inspirational.Lots of short but true tales, telling of good people in the world, who are all helping to make it a better place. Some have faced incredible adversity themselves, but didn't give up - Shining examples to be admired and followed during these times when everything looks a little grim.

Not inspiring at all
I bought this book to read to my elderly mother who suffers with Dementia. I was disappointed by these stories. Firstly they are all American and relate to places that neither of us know. But also the stories are not explained. It's almost like newspaper headlines which have been padded out to fill the page.Don't bother.

Fine, but more appealing to American readers
The stories all have a US background so not too easy to comprehend for English Alzheimer’s readers

Collection of American newspaper clippings
Collection of American newspaper articles copied directly from articles. I was expecting funny and uplifting true stories but these are just newspaper articles they have not even rewritten them into a story format example in photos attached. ‘Chap 23 The cost of Insulin capped at $35 by house’ I will be returning the book

Very American in content
Was bought to use with a reminiscence group here in Scotland. Of little value for this as the content is more relevant in the USA than Britain. Disappointed , if this had been clear in the blurb would not have purchased it. One positive point it is a large print book.

Perfect for early dementia
My mother is in a nursing home and enjoys reading. She can't follow a book though because she forgets what was happening when she starts to read again. This book is perfect. Once she's finished 100 stories she can start over and they are new to her again. Don't forget to buy a bookmark for it though.

Fun, funny, interesting, surprising, REAL life stories
I've read 3 or 4 of these to my MIL with Alzheimer's and she really enjoys them. The news is so depressing! These stories are a fun, uplifting read. They are just long enough to build interest without being so long that she gets lost. Love this book!
