Bigger and heavier than expected
This solar panels kit was bigger and heavier than I expected, even after looking at the dimensions in the product details, and it being so big it is a challenge to unravel out into a line. The supports don't have a cross brace so the panels themselves bow quite badly. I set it up for testing in a sheltered area with no wind and it was still a challenge to ge the line of panels to hold position without one or more of the kickstands folding back in and collapsing. Also, despite coming with a DC charging adapter cable it doesn't appear to have any charging regulator/controller built in so cannot be used directly into a 12V DC input on a device. For the price (£700 RRP when writing this review), I expected a lot better as I could've got 2 x 200W kits with charge controllers for a lot less than this. I am returning it as don't feel it is fit for purpose for anything except charging a power station from the same manufacturer, and mine is a different brand.

Amazing panel, great quality and generates a lot of power
The Allpowers 400W panel is a large panel for gathering a significant amount of power. It is foldable and portable but it's bigger and heavier than traditional panels because, well it has to generate 2-4x the power. It is great however for camper vans and off grid living. The panel will quickly replenish your portable power station, it'll keep it charge up during the day and make sure you don't have to worry about running out of juice.Quality of the panels are amazing, energy production is great and setup is simple and easy with the folding supports tucked in to the back of the panels.Great product, fair price considering the quality, very pleased.

here comes the sun
These were in use most of last year on a UK wide camper trip and will again this year heading into Europe.Practicality is good as they fold neatly but beware the weight if you're even slightly frail as they are a big heft. The only real problem is the struts as they are not designed to hold the panels up in moderate wind so placement is key. Best against the van so they have extra support rather than in open space as they do blow over. Cables tuck away neatly too.Even on cloudy days managed to secure power but in full sun they quickly power up and have been a life saver on extra juice.A considered purchase at the price but if out and about a lot and particularly without plug in power then these will easily repay the investment quickly.

Excellent!
Firstly - I don't normally mention packaging in reviews; but when buying something of this size/value I think it's always a consideration - will it arrive intact?! I'm very pleased to open this and see it's double-boxed, with good, thick card boxing, and has foam pieces inside also, so it's well protected in transit. Now that out of the way, the item itself is very well made, is probably as light as it can be, whilst being sturdy in situ. There are fold out supports on each panel - which are good, but I would like to see some kind of cross bracing for better support and to provide more sturdiness - only time will tell if that is needed or not though - maybe I'm just over-thinking it!I got this so that it could be used when I go camping at race tracks for 2-5 days at a time, as this helps everyone in our group keep devices powered etc. It does take up a reasonable amount of space, but as it's quite flat, I've found a place for it quite easily. It's very easy to get set up and working. There is some flex in the panels when set up, but I don't think it's anything to worry about, and hasn't caused any issue.

Damaged
I can't really give a decent review, as they were damaged when they arrived, looks like they were up against a sharp corner as there is a hole right through the inner and outer box.

Very good in full sun
Worked very well in full sun, quite heavy so best for vehicle camping.

Concerned about longevity
These panels are heavy - but given the size it is to be expected. Taking care when folding them and setting the supports out makes life easier and after some practice it can be done single handed. They also have worked well for me seeing impressive input to my solar charger. The concern is showin in the photo - after less than one years use - (and they are only used occasionally) The connectors are looking loose and exposed. This is a big concern - from a safety point of view. Given their price I had expected them them to last for many years.
