Ignore the bad stuff, it works!
If you are going to purchase this product you have to be aware that it doesn't come with will power! This kit does work but it takes persistence! We have two cats which we trained from kittens, one got it completely after about four months, the other over a year but I still maintain it's miles easier than cleaning out a stinky litter tray!I would advise always treating the cat afterwards, mine are so well trained now they meow to call you up to tell you they've been as they want their treats!I agree it is pretty flimsy material but from kitten size to junior it's absolutely fine. Hopefully if training went well you wouldn't need it when they are big anyway!

Bought this one in favor of the more expensive versions as I was hesitant as to how my cat would react but so far so good.About halfway with training and she seems to be slowly learning how to balance, I think this has more to do with the personality of my cat than the product. The only major downfall with this is the flimsy quality of the material as on a few occasions the tray has buckled in and scared my cat which knocked her confidence and set back training , I have a very small cat so his would definitely not be ideal with medium to large cats unless you make it stronger which i did by inserting the back up tray and adding a wooden splint to the back section to support the tray better and this has worked so far. This would be an amazing product if the plastic was thicker and the section easier to cut out as this does leave sharp edges.Overall easy to clean , the catnip supplied was good to get her interested in the beginningfast delivery from seller a plus

Does not work at all.
This was not what I expected at all. It is very flimsy and struggled to hold the weight of my cats who are just 1 year old. The segments are extremely difficult to remove resulting in sharp edges. It also meant that the toilet was out of use to humans and got very dirty and stained. Cats did not take to this and although we never had any messing since the day we got them at 8 weeks we had accidents all day everyday so after two weeks of persisting we went back to the conventional and effective litter tray and cats are happy and clean again! Waste of money and time!

It became so bad, she'd rather go to a corner
Just tried to teach an ordinary 'rooftop' kitty, born in April 2015; had to discontinue and went back to using traditional cat basin, after 2 extraordinary difficult weeks trying to get the cat to understand the last 2 rings, Quite right it makes extraordinary amounts of stress... which she might just be too young for.Possible causes for this - the kitty just could not get over the decreasing depth and amount of cat litter; she has really strong 'burying' instinct; when she can't bury, she roams around the house and does /it/ in corners... It became so bad, she'd rather go to a corner, than to the toilet at all. Also she had a stress a few times (witnessed it once or twice) when she jumped off the lower insert, and it sprang up (having recessed quite deep under her weight) spraying her pee and the other business around - she just could not grip that she needs to crouch on the toilet seat, not on the insert. Tried to counteract this, by mounting a spacer underneath to stop it from sliding forward and slipping off the back edge of the porcelain, but I think I missed the right time and it did not help. Even by using the second auxiliary insert (included) the cat just could not get over this stress. Also, because half the cat litter was landing in the toilet, for her burying instinct, we started using the compressed paper litter while the toilet training was on already - so the change in the type of litter might have contributed to 'too many changes at a time'... The paper litter only apparently works when it's applied in thick layers and plays well with cat's 'burying' instinct. On the other hand the traditional 'fuller earth' litter was landing inside the 'porcelain' en masse and that would have been even worse if we let it continue - we had to change. At least with the paper litter, we can 'just' porcelain it and flush because it disintegrates in the water easily. Therefore I give the product only 4 stars, because as an idea we love it. Maybe we will try again in the future, maybe when her instinct becomes less of an issue.

amazing product
My cats never progressed to the last and final stage where you remove the last ring somehow they got really attached to it and just get very confused when its gone but nevertheless not through the products fault but because of their inability to commit to this life changing decision to just use the loo as everybody else does:D I have learned to respect that and we keep the last ring permanently on as the cleaning and changing litter was much more inconvenient.

So far the training has just begun, but I'm ...
So far the training has just begun, but I'm already hating this product. Not because my cats doesn't use it, but because it's cheap and for one use only. Once you have fully trained your cat, you need to throw it away. New cat? New training kit. And you can't have heavy cats as they will just end up destroying it from their weight.Find a training kit from a different company where it's not made of simple plastic you need to cut through

Ridiculous/Brilliant.
Ok, my wife made me get rid of this before we got chance to use it, but I love the fact that it exists. It might work for your cat, but it might not. The hilarity of opening the Amazon box to find this looking at you, though, is worth the cost alone! The Free Catnip that's included isn't the best quality, but what can you expect from a freebee?
