Good Budget headset
I bought this to replace the wireless razer headset I have been using for years that finally wore out on me.I like this headset. I find it comfortable, not too tight on my head but more importantly not too loose. It stays on and doesn't shift around.Sound quality is good. A little quiet compaired to my old one but I turned up the volume on the xbox audio settings and it was fine. It might not meet the some peoples extremely high standards but it sounds clear, no crackling or static or anything like that.Mic seems decent too. Asked my friends after I got it set up and they said they couldn't notice much of a change in voice quality from my old headset which always got praise for not being static/echo prone. All in all, for what I paid I am definitly happy. This is a solid budget headset for general gaming purposes. May not be on par to the top brands on some aspects but I would expect it to be hard to find one better than this at this price.

Great headset for the blind!
Note: I am plugging this headset into the HyperX Amp USB Sound Card (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GW1SHSN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1).This replaces the original Cloud Stinger I purchased back in April 2020, which came bundled with the above sound card accessory, so that was the only way I ever used the original headset. However, the right earpad finally gave around the very edge of the rim of the earcup so the pad would no longer stay securely in place. It didn't appear it would be that easy to replace one or both earpads, so I replaced with this updated (2) model of the Cloud Stinger. Two things I mmediately like about this headset are the volume wheel and the more standard "wire" arm microphone. The original Cloud Stinger headset had a volume slider I was almost constantly accidentally moving, and the microphone arm, while flexible to a degree, did not behave like the more traditional "wire" style which offers more flexibility in positioning the microphone. In terms of sound quality, plugged into the same above sound card as the original, I can't really hear any difference, which is good. I was satisfied with the original sound. Perhaps replacement earpads would have been cheaper, but for gaining a volume wheel and the more flexible "wire" microphone arm, this purchase was worth not having to deal with the hassle of trying to get new earpads anchored. Short of buying new earpads direct from HyperX, I wouldn't trust I was getting equivalent replacements anyway. Overall, probably as cheap and easier to just buy a new headset than replacing earpads.I will conclude by mentioning that as a totally blind computer user, I wear this headset on average about 10 hours every day for use with my screen reader, and the comfort of this thing is INSANE! I have been told the microphone sound quality is great during Zoom calls, so this would probably be a great buy for anyone doing lots of calls.I bought for comfort and the fact it folds so can fit in a bag if I need to take with me out and about. The microphone muting and unmuting simply by swinging it up out of the way (mute) or down (unmuted) is a nice touch. A bit more difficult with this "wire" arm, but not impossible if one simply grabs the plastic part of the arm where it joins the headset. Probably overall better than grabbing the arm itself anyway; just tried it and can flip it up and down with one finger without issues.I can't report on the DTS:X since I don't use it for that sort of enhanced audio as would exist in gaming.

Very midrangey cans vs the older V1 model but clearer mic
Out of all the gaming headset brands I've had over the years, this brand's product line sounded the best to me. All headphones are colored in some way and this seemed to match my preferences for the most part. The previous Cloud Stinger was clear & bassy but was a bit scooped in the mids. Seems this one is now on the polar opposite end where it sounds like it has too much midrange. Still, it's much better sounding to me vs other brands like Razer and especially Logitech.I still have my old pair but there's a loose wire inside that cuts out the left channel. This is a manufacturing defect. I have to move stuff around to make it work. My much older one's hinges broke and that's why I had to buy a new set. Luckily back then v1 was still around.Anyway, I was able to do a comparison with the mic from the previous model vs this one. It has significantly more treble which means more hiss, but I can just throw a gate/eq on it for OBS/Discord if I really wanted. Most people don't care, especially when you're gaming. The pads feel about the same. These never gave me headaches. I do like they gave you a windscreen for the mic this time around and that you can bend the mic arm around now.The bar that holds the cans with the headrest feels way more more tougher. I'm not sure if there's a metal bar inside it and I can only hope it does. The previous model had a wide piece of flat metal, but felt like the plastic that the bar goes into felt really flimsy. I'd say this is a good upgrade for it.Regardless, I'm giving it 4 stars just because of how much more midrangey it is to me vs the previous model 1 cans. I liked v1 more and was hoping the cans would sound exactly the same since you can't buy the model 1 at the time of this review unless you really hunt around for it.It's still strong overall and great for a decent pair of headphones. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a pair that isn't overly expensive and always would recommend this brand over other gaming headset brands.

Basic Headset with small problems
An okay headset, had better. The headset sounds great and is pretty basic. You can’t turn it off on the headset which is annoying and if the port that plugs into the controller is touched or moves the sounds becomes distorted or silenced and really annoying. Better off saving a little more for something better.
