This feels good in the hand, seems very solid, and would do a good job when appropriately used to ward off an attacker. I recommend practicing with it and getting comfortable using it. You don't want the first time you use it to be when someone is trying to assault you.

I bought several of these as gifts .. I found it a little bigger in my hand than expected but it is very sturdy and is not an obvious defense item

Okay, it's a composite material, not quite plastic but still. Makes me wonder how well it will work. Seems too flimsy to break glass.

I believe that this would break someone bone if hit hard enough in the right spot. Definitely will leave a bruise. I recommend not trying it out on yourself.
