Worth every penny
It was built to a very high standard to where its easy to measure g6 tolerances on a lathe, would recommend getting their micrometer too if you need to do tighter tolerances such as a j5, always make high quality products that you know will last a lifetime.

Nicely made, good quality, genuine if bought from amazon
I decided to trust amazon brand, bought direct from amazon as it was second cheapest.Received following day, good quality all round inc paperwork and packaging, registered successfully with Mitutyo for guarantee using supplied serial number. Feels so much more substantial than the cheap ones I bought previously

Fake
Mitutoyo box was worn and damaged. No paperwork with it. Verniers was swapped out for cheap louisware one, which sells for €20.

Don't buy from 3rd party or Amazon warehouse
Twice now I got fake Mitutoyos, first time it was a Chinese clone (can tell by how much battery is being drained). 2nd time from Amazon warehouse (used, like new) someone swapped out the real one with some garbage unbranded junk. At least the return process is not too much of a hassle.
