4711Aftershave Lotion Splash - 100 ml 10001471

I use this product as an aftershave lotion to tone the skin following a DE shave; it works wonderfully.As long as I haven't messed my shave up too much it provides a pleasant tingling sensation reducing razorburn which I then follow up with an aftershave balm for moisturisation.This is a mild aftershave which has a delightful citrus aroma which is very short lived.These are both plus points.Please note this product is marketed as an aftershave lotion rather than a cologne and so the alcohol content is lower which means the scent doesn't last.If you want the aroma to last then follow up with the eau de cologne (although longevity there is questionable). If you purchase to use to tone the skin following your shave you will get a mild and effective aftershave with a wonderful scent which isn't going to mess with your cologne or EDT.

I love the smell of that aftershave. It hasn’t got that ultra masculine perfume but a rather fresh lemony scent. Unlike the pure cologne which is higher in alcohol content the aftershave is milder and more gentle to a freshly shaved face. I bought different aftershaves to try but I don’t feel that connected or expressed as from this aftershave. With the 4711 the feeling is back to childhood thank in hand with a contemporary chic man. I don’t have to prove my masculinity with strong smells that last all day. Instead the smell last long enough to start my day and move on.In terms of price tag it’s quite affordable for its quality in terms of value for money.

Nice scent but it just doesn't last long. It's okay for daily use but not something you would wear in evening or to impress.

I have the 4711 Original EDC Spray Muelhens 4711 Original EDC Spray 90 ml which is more or less the same. This is not a bad aftershave splash it dose its job well, closing the pours after a shave, moisturising enough, scent is inoffensive, doesn't last that long but I'm fine with that.

Soothing scent. However, I think the real strength with the 4711 is the post-shave feel.

What I think of the scent will be quite different from some other views - this is highly subjective territory.For me it's a pleasant, masculine, slightly old fashioned aroma.It is a true after shave, i.e. you splash it on your hand and wipe it across your face, after shaving. It has a mild skin-bracing effect. So this is intended to be used differently from a cologne which you spray around your neck, chest etc.Not particularly long-lasting, but excellent value for money on Amazon.
