I have two identical Samsung monitors and nearly bought a whole replacement monitor when one of them conked out, but stopped myself: I saw that the green LED was blinking on the monitor's power supply, when normally it should stay on solid like the other one. Next minute the LED turned off entirely, so I knew it was the power supply. This new one doesn't appear to have any LEDs, so when it fails I guess I won't know the same way, but at least I now know not to immediately suspect the monitor itself.The power supply is slightly wider than the type that came with the monitor and is also less hot to the touch - maybe it's dissipating heat over a larger area? It might be even better build quality than the original, which is also made in China.As far as I know, all you need to check is that the voltage matches exactly what you had before and that the amps are at least as much as the one you're replacing. This one has a few more amps than the original one that broke and works perfectly fine.Got it £5 off being in 'Used - Like New' condition, so really good value in my case.

After my original adapter failed, I tried to find an official one that had enough power output but they were all ridiculous prices. This one was a reasonable price and claimed to output the correct power so I took a chance and I was pleasantly surprised. My monitor stays powered without cutting out like with a lower power one. This adapter has saved me money and stress and so I am very happy with my purchase. I can confirm that it is compatible with the Samsung Odyssey G5 34" Curved Monitor.

This is clever marketing by Amazon. Buyer beware - this is NOT a Samsung power supply although 1st read indicates it is for a Samsung monitor so would be.It is imitation Chinese rubbish which although works may not last long.Maybe the price is a give away.....
