Triple bill of films in the Ghostbusters franchise. Ghostbusters (1984) stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. After their scholastic grant is withdrawn, New York parapsychologists Peter Venkman (Murray), Raymond Stanz (Aykroyd) and Egon Spenler (Ramis) decide to go into business as Ghostbusters. Initially scorned, the trio become celebrities after ridding a hotel of a troublesome ghoul, and are called in by musician Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) when she experiences strange disturbances in her Central Park apartment. In the sequel, Ghostbusters 2 (1989), the Ghostbusters are struggling to get work as they find themselves being sued by municipal authorities. When a physical embodiment of evil is discovered lurking beneath the city, however, their services are once again required. Finally, Ghostbusters (2016) sees four ladies take the lead with Abby (Melissa McCarthy), Erin (Kristen Wiig), Jillian (Kate McKinnon) and Patty (Leslie Jones) forming the new Ghostbusters. As the team get news of spirits lurking beneath the streets of New York City, they don the famous boiler suits and set out on a mission to destroy the ghosts and save the world.Synopsis:Get ready for some serious slime-time, with the ultimate Ghostbusters box-set, containing the original classic Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis) along with Paul Feig's brand-new hilarious take on the classic, supernatural comedy. Spooktastic classic
All ways been a fan and the 4k version is excellent, yes it is a bit grainy, more noticeably the first film, but what do you expect with a 80's film. The first film is the best, even thought the special effects seem pretty poor in todays standard, but ground-breaking in the day.I was expecting to dislike the 3rd film as much as i did in the cinema, but i actually enjoyed it much more now, and the special effects are much improved. I especially like the way some of the proton streams and explosions go outside the black bars of the letterbox format and give it a 3D feel.Altogether a good buy and upgrade.

Great box set
Who doesn't love the Ghostbusters films and what could be better than all 3 on blu ray? Got them for a good price on black Friday and replaces my DVD copies of the two originals. If you're looking for a review of the newest film.... I'm not sure what to say really? It is what it is and with Megan McCarthy and Kristen Wiig it's not going to be a serious rendition and is obviously full of their usual humour. I think the cast work well together and they've done an ok job but its not the original and is maybe a little too slapstick to be taken seriously. The ghosts are well done graphically but are very bright and therefore not of the horror genre but it's an easy watch and had similarities to the first Ghostbusters film. Love that the original cast members all have a bit part too!
