We gave up on ice cream scoops many years ago when the only option was the one where you pressed a button and a metal band was inside the scoop and it was the thing that pushed the cream out into a ball. It also rusted and broke after about a month. Now, with this scoop, I am so pleased to report that it works great! No rust, no breakage. You do have to rinse it after 2-3 cones because the ice cream will stick, but it’s well worth that and the price I paid, under $10.00. I’ve made so many ice cream cones since we got it! And I’ve got a 22 lb watermelon that I can’t wait to try this on! It will also make jumbo meatballs.

What can I say, the design fits well in the hand, and it pops out the ice cream perfectly.. it's just a tad smaller than expected.

Really a great quality scoop! Solidy built and well made. My first job was scooping at Friendly's ice-cream and this is better thany anything I used professionally.

So, normally I wouldn't leave a review for an ice cream scoop, but this one was too good not to. This is the sturdiest scoop I have ever owned. I doubt that I will ever need to buy another. It is very solid feeling and weighty. The flap that pushes the ice cream out is larger than any I have had in the past. The scoop makes a nice size ball and the ice cream comes off easily. The handle is large enough to fit your hand for a good hold while scooping. The scoop sliced through the fairly hard ice cream quite nicely. I give it 2 thumbs up!
