Love this, time saver and super price
Love this chopper, just what I needed to save time dicing.First of all... you need to chop your veg to a reasonable size and only put a small handful in at a time and it will work perfectly. This is for fine dicing rather than chopping whole or half veg, I see one review where they tried putting a half onion in... it won't cope with that. For onion chop into a few slices quickly then halve the stick a few in. For carrots chop into lengths that will fit then halve the width/diameter.It works really well and fast, is small and doesn't take up a lot of room in the cupboard. Perfect for dicing veg small enough for soup and lasagne. I use it several times a week and with a toddler I need to save every min I can. I have tried a bigger push through chopper and it didnt dice as finely as this one and was more expensive. The price is super at £6/7.You need to rinse it fairly quickly so the veg doesn't dry and it is awkward to clean any veg that has gone up under the plunger. Don't put it in the dishwasher like my other half! It has rusted all the inner workings and it will not last very long now, I would have thought it obvious it couldn't go in but hey ho. Will buy again and do recommend.

Decent Chopper — but don’t expect too much!
So scale back your expectations if you have come here having watched the Slap Chop advert! The Slap Chop actually gets crummy reviews so I went with this...This thing is for fine chopping — and it certainly makes quick work of it!So if you do a lot of cooking from scratch then honestly a gadget like this is gold dust!To work efficiently, I’ll be honest, you have to cut onions into quarters really. That gives you an idea of how big things need to be for this thing to be able to cope.I went straight for half an onion (too ambitious!) and it just got wedged up and stuck on the blades. So besides onions and garlic, you can make a great home made salsa by adding in different ingredients, onions, chilli, pepper, tomatoes, coriander or you can make fruit salad etc. And the results are decent. Overall the chopper is quite versatile as long as you don’t over load it as I noted above.Washing it is super easy, it doesn’t have too many parts. Hassle free.

Metaltex Twist Vegetable/ Onion Chopper - FAIL
I don't say it's completely useless, but it's not far off. If you cut the onion into small pieces it works after a fashion, for a while. The mechanism which twists the cutter stopped working within five minutes and hasn't worked since. It's inside the handle and no doubt plastic and just not up to the job.If you're thinking this will save you time and effort, forget it. Larger bits of onion are speared by the cutter and then just move up & down with it. You spend more time unclogging and cutting by hand. Difficult to clean after use. Quite honestly, it's quicker and a lot less frustrating to just chop the onion with a knife.

Works if you have hours to spare.
It does work, but it takes for ever to chop onions.

Not quick or easy to use
I thought this would be a great time saver for chopping mushrooms for veggie chillie, it was quicker by hand, it doesn’t chop very efficiently and is fiddled to clean, the blades are also a fiddle to align each time you load it. I gave it to charity after first use.

Bit flimsy
Quite flimsy and a nightmare to put back together trying to line blades up with the internal guard seems to miss bits to when chopping stuff
