I was a sceptic - not now
I already have a pair of cheap binoculars and had tried to replace them with a pair that was double the value of my original pair, these were sent back as were not any better. I had done much research and to be honest unless your in the field actually using them you are not going to know how good they are, so all that can be a waste of time, customer reviews swayed me in the end.I got the Celestron 71406 TrailSeeker pair for Christmas and to be fair I am impressed although they are 5 times what my original pair cost, they are so much better all-round the clarity of the image is very good the speed of focus the quality of the build plus the accessories that come with them all make up for a good package, they are heavier than I thought they would be, but I see that as a sign of a quality build.I would recommend these purely on performance and image quality, ideal for bird watching and for general viewing, value for money definitely.

Good decision, good choice.
For all round general use these binoculars are the right size, the right weight, the right price. They are optically perfect (in my view!) and give sharp, focused, clear images. They feel quality and are strong and sturdy in your hand. The carrying case, neck straps etc are also of good quality. In my opinion these binoculars actually do what they were intended to do and have met all my expectations......how refreshing is that? Would thoroughly recommend to others.

Very good but not for me.
I really liked these binoculars. Build quality is excellent. For non ED glass the CA is controlled very well. I experienced peripheral black outs or kidney bean effect as I like to have the eye cups pushed close to my eyes. The Celestron trailseeker’s eye cups, it would appear, did not extend far enough for me personally. Optically however these are excellent - bright clear and sharp image with minimal CA.

Amazing Clarity, Ease of Use. A Quality Item.
I made the decision to purchase the Celestron Trailseeker binoculars on the basis of the reviews and am so thankful for people taking their time to share them, as I am absolutely delighted. In my perspective, for the price, they are of a high standard of quality and have a good weightiness in your hands without being too heavy.I have already thoroughly enjoyed watching birds flying or pottering about. I got them for spotting orcas and dolphins, though if they were to be closer to the horizon line than the shore line, I may want to get a higher zoom spec in future to get a close enough view. If you’re not needing them for too far then I would say this is an excellent set of binoculars.

Great mid-size binoculars with great image quality
I bought these based on a recommendation on Space.com as my first proper binoculars, and I'm really happy with them. They are compact, not too heavy, and have great brightness edge to edge and clarity. They are sharp enough that I was able to easily read the words "dry docks" painted on the side of a dock building from 3.8 miles away! The focus wheel is really nice to use and not too fiddly when adjusting the focus. There is some chromatic aberration (yellow/purple fringing), which is present, but not excessive, the more expensive TrailSeeker ED model has ED glass, which reduces this, but it's around £100 more than the non-ED model, so unless birdwatching is your main hobby, it's probably not worth the extra cost.I was never particularly into birdwatching/wildlife watching before, but seeing birds/animals up close in such detail is delightful.

Fantastic binoculars, as good as some triple the price .......
These are extremely good binocs for the price...They have a little weight to them, but nothing that is uncomfortable to hold up when using them. They are as clear as the day too absolutely fantastic binocs.... they are as good as a pair double the price....when you can buy these, don't go buying some double the price.. Excellent HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍👌👍👌

Great quality/cost ratio
Excellent quality for the price. Very pleased with the amount of light they gather. Perfect for spotting in conjunction with a long camera lens, but good on their own for general purpose stuff. Haven't taken them to a concert yet, but I think they are small enough to not be too annoying and large/good enough to get a close look at the stage.

Not sharp
Not as Sharpe as described, the scope ony rifle is much sharper, my friend bought some Hawk binoculars and they are much better for the same price.
