Q: Can this be used under an airbed to keep warm

It good to keep it under an air bed. It will definitely protect the under surface of your airbed from scratches and sharpe/pointy objects. But to keep warm, I am not sure. If your air bag is well inflated, you will surely not feel the cold with these camping mat . But they are not that wide, so for a better protection of your airbed you may need 2 of them (1 next to the other); and the extra part passing the bed you can see it as a mat by the side of your air bed! For what it cost, it did and still serve me well! I do use them under my sleeping bag when camping in spring and in summer.

The two that I purchased were foil backed. Good for camping not for yoga.

They are 8mm but i found them not very spongy to lie on

Hi, I bought these for our Granddaughters when they go camping so do not have them here with me. What I can say is that 0.8cm is 8mm so only 3mm difference which is negligible. They are thin but sturdy, with the insulation backing being excellent. They are very light to carry and can be easily strapped on the outside of a rucksack. The Granddaughters have had no problems with them and also remembered to lie on the coloured foam with the silver providing the insolation from the ground. Hope that helps. Elizabeth
