Philips S7710/26 Series 7000 Wet and Dry Men's Electric Shaver with SmartClean System and Precision Trimmer (UK 2-Pin Bathroom Plug)

I bought this around 2 weeks ago and I have been using it nearly daily since. I havent used it on my face at all though, I shave my head. I have been using clippers for a while but feel the look is a little untidy so wanted to start shaving. I tried using normal multi blade razors but was finding I was getting a lot of skin irritation for a day or so after shaving meaning I would need to wait a couple of days before I can shave again.Then I tried an older fashion dual edge safety razor but had similar results (and a lot of small nicks and cuts for the pleasure) so I started looking into electric razors.I was tempted to get a shaver specifically designed for the head but figured if im going to spend this kind of money on something I want to be able to use it on my face too. Finally settled on this one and wow, I wish I had done it sooner.I dont get as close as I can with a razor, no electric shaver will, but I can get real close. But the best part is I have zero skin irritation after doing it, I have been shaving nearly daily since getting it and its a breeze, less than 5min for a really good shave and when im finished I can give it a quick rinse or stick it in the cleaner and walk away.Much faster than a wet shave with a razor, much safer and, zero skin irritation.

As a bald man, I have to shave my head every morning, so I am very dependant on rotary shavers.Bought this as an upgrade to a previous model Philips that was start to wear from daily use, and the difference was immediately noticeable from the very start. This shaver cuts so well that I can get a proper shave of my head done in ~2 mins where previously it would take longer due to having to do multiple passes.While I don't use this shaver for shaving my face, I have used it for shaving my neck and it leaves me without the usual irritation I would get from my previous shaver.Worth noting that this shaver only comes with a 2-pin bathroom plug, which feels a bit of an oversight by Philips, because the size of the SmartClean system is too large to realistically placed in a typical bathroom; so you'll likely need an adaptor if you buy this shaver.

It arrived on time. Early days but so far I'm pleased with the results. One small niggle it's a bit fiddly to clean the cutters by hand.

I'm really surprised to see any positive reviews for this shaver. I dropped my previous Philips wet/dry shaver (which was awesome) so thought id replace it with another. This is NOTHING like the previous one. It just doesnt really shave you... Each time ive used it i've had to follow up with a wet shave. The trimmer works reasonably well, but the shaver head just doesnt pick up either longer hairs, or shorter ones.. Forget about trying to get those ones around the jaw line.
