I found this folding bed very comfortable whilst sleeping on it for four nights and could have easily managed it for longer. I am 5'8" tall, it was plenty long enough for me and with the bed being 3' wide there was ample room widthways too. The mattress is quite firm but also soft enough to be comfortable, my back aches sometimes in bed but I had no problems sleeping in this bed. It is easy to move around on its castors when closed and simple to fold out ready for sleeping in. I inadvertently managed to place most of my weight on the bottom end of the bed which caused it to tip up but being not too far from the floor, no harm was done either to the bed or myself.I bought the dust cover a couple of weeks later which I would recommend as it looks more tidy and also protects the bed from dust. The bed and dust cover have been an excellent buy and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one should the need arise.

When the carrier brought the bed I was a bit dismayed to see the total weight given as 55kgs and not 35kgs as stated in the product description. The double-flute, heavy-duty card protected the bed nicely and there was not any unnecessary plastic stuffing wrapped around the bed. Being a big 'parcel' I found it awkward to move the box into the bedroom but a friend (brighter than I) cut some hand-holds into the cardboard and that made all the difference.The bed opened very easily and I had no need of the instructions supplied. This was good because they were tucked in on top of the mattress and not accessible until the bed was unfolded. The mattress is four inches deep (10cms) covered foam. The head and foot of the bed are light pine colour and quite narrow because they form the 'top' of the bed when it is folded up. If you like to sit up and read, you'll need something to support your back and to save the wall from your hair dressing.The hinge mechanisms did mark the carpet but that is easily solved by using a piece of stout card beneath them.I found the mattress comfortable and the bed sleeps two easily. I saw in the instructions it is not to be used for a load exceeding 22 stones in weight; that's about 140 kgs. So if you are both substantial, be warned. The slats under the mattress do give as you move around in bed, which made me a bit nervous at first, but it didn't feel bad, just unusual.The bed closes up as easily as it unfolds and sits very neatly and discreetly to one side when not in use. A slip-cover would be very useful and would not be too difficult to run up, if you know a handy seamstress. I'm happy with the bed and I'm pleased to know I have it for emergency use or for guests.

Upon second attempt at delivering an undamaged product, I can confirm that this is a great stow away bed. The mattress quality is suitable for any person up to around 15 stone for comfort and durability. The new lok mechanism makes folding and unfolding the bed a simple one person action with minimal fuss. It is extremely light weight which at first may appear to suggest it is not durable, but it is light weight aluminium that is used in production hence the light weight which make it easy to manoeuvre around a room. Please remember that it extends to 204 cms so is longer than a standard bed if you are tight for space. I bought the air flow mattress model and have tried it out personally and can confirm that you can get a comfortable nights sleep as you are well supported by the wooden slats below mattress. A mattress topper would be useful for added comfort.

It is very easy to break the pieces of wood that hold up the mattress and I have already broken one by simply sitting on the bed.

This was bought to cater for a visitor expected imminently. On delivery the headboard was damaged slightly and Amazon wanted me to return the whole bed although a new headboard would have been all that was needed. I contacted the makers who provided a new headboard for me to fit.The centre section - the bit with the wheels on - is made of plastic not metal, and when being opened up the whole bed distorts alarmingly. However, when set up, the bed feels rigid enough. There is no fixing to hold the closed up bed steady so it would be better to have a permanent storage place for it - a couple of clips would have helped. Our expected guest did not arrive but is coming in the next week or two so I might give an update later.Could be better made.Update: Our visitor reported that the bed was very comfortable for the two nights he was here.

We don't have overnight guests very often so use our second bedroom as a bit of a craft/hobby room for 95% of the time. We had a small double divan in there, but seriously restricted the use of the room.Jay-bed to the rescue. We can now make better use of the bedroom. The bed sits neatly in the corner out of the way until needed. We had guests last weekend for the first time since by the bed. Simply wheel it to the right location, fold out the two legs, stand back and admire. Apparently the mattress is super comfortable and better than the rather expensive divan it replaced. We bought the cover which makes everything look neat and tidy. The caster wheels are super smooth over a hard floor. There's nothing not to like. Delivery was quick and the bed in its box is placed in the room of your choice.

The bedframe is very easy to fold up and store away but the mattress is so uncomfortable. We had to buy a separate mattress to make it more bareable.
