Bought for a seaside themed party. Am a larger girl and it was a flattering cut and fit, true to size. Arrived quickly and the accessories were great. The white top is a bit see through but I wore a black and nude strapless bra underneath and it didn’t show that much - nude or white would probably be best. I added hoop earrings and a cutlass that tucked neatly into the waist sash. Reccomend

Ordered quickly for Halloween and did not realise eye patch / pistol not supplied. Didn't really look like a pirate costume otherwise. A family member commented that I looked like I was guarding the Vatican City (!) and didn't 'get' what I was supposed to be dressed as. THIN MATERIAL too - you'll need a white vest and black leggings if you don't want to show your skin underneath. I'm a slim size 8-10 and it fitted perfectly but there's not much 'give' on the waist if you need a bit of extra room. Good speed on delivery.

I am normally terrified of costume parties - but bought this for Disney Cruise Line's Halloween on the High Seas Pirate Night (for which a great many people actually do dress up!). This was a well fitting, practical outfit for any costume party. It was a flattering style, and midi length as in picture - although if you are short like me - it is longer - but still above the ankles! (a stretch fit - and as a larger lady, I felt very comfortable and confident wearing it) . I also invested in a Ladies Tricorn costume hat (see separate review) and added black and red flat pumps (I didn't fancy packing boots for a 85 degree cruise!). In hindsight - I think some stripey socks would have looked good too! For curvy ladies out there worrying about size/fit - the 16-18 fit me well - and I usually buy 18-20. If you are busty - although not too low cut/revealing - a white bra or vest top is needed underneath for modesty, though be aware that the straps will be seen due to off the shoulder style. Yes it is made of cheap material, but reasonably well put-together and I was well satisfied and was exactly what I needed - hence the 5 star review.
