A Hoot From Start to Finish
This is the first Far Cry game I've played and what am introduction to the series. Right from the get go you're immersed in the game. I like the freedom to play how you want to play. If you want to go into situations all guns blazing then you can. But equally if you want to try and use stealth then you can just add easily. The world you play in feels so alive and it's just a great game from start to finish.

Lots of fun
For the first hour, I struggled a bit with this because it seemed to be a pale imitation of GTA/Red Dead Redemption/Metal Gear Solid sandbox games but with clunkier controls. However, I'm glad I persevered because it was a real blast after that. The story line is weak (the dictator Pagan Min seems to tolerate the main character too much) and the ending seemed rushed but I was so immersed in the side missions that I forgot to complete the main missions for what seemed like days. The scenery is beautifully rendered and it really reminded me of a trip to Nepal years ago (with more guns, wild animals and enemies). An entertaining experience.

It's just ok.
Although it's next gen console game, graphics cannot make up for a bit of a lame story line and, this is my opinion, a bit of a copy cat of gta series and red dead redemption but falling short of the excitement and fun you get in the aforementioned games. You get a deeper sand box experience than you get from the uncharted series, where you are constrained by the story and you basically do what you are told. But, for an open world experience it doesn't get that open, with pointless secundary missions and as I said before a rather lame story.Probably the problem of this date and age, plenty of resources on the technical side but very little when it comes to surprise you and engage you with well developed story lines. Much of the same that happens with movies.

A great all rounder FPS
This game is a pefect use of time for any FPS fan, The graphics are beautiful and the storyline is fun.The choice of weapons and gear is enough to have fun all through the game without sticking to the same equipment from start to finish. The driving controls are grat and the autodrive feature is pefect for shooting while driving. I can spend hours setting traps and blowing Bengal Tigers into the skype never to be seen again. The fire physics is great and the way you can either run in guns blazing or take the stealthy way makes this game fun for all types of players. The extra missions and challanges make for great replayability and can add hours of fun to an already great game.

Top game, especially at a low price as it has been out a good while. As I also own fc3 on the ps3 I have to say that it is pretty much the same game but with better visuals and more animals.Although there is obviously a different story line, the general game play and plot is the same..... trade loot, upgrade items such as weapon holster and wallet using animal skin and hack radio towers to reveal more of the map. (Even the hand gliders are still in there) which is good.As a stand alone game trying not to draw comparisons to FC 3 it is a great game.So if you have not played FC 3 you will be in for a treat. (Watch those eagles) ;)

Great, true open-world games are few and far between at the moment. And whilst it is true that Far Cry 4 serves up more of the same when it cames to the storyline and gaming, it remains a delight to explore its expansive universe in whatever manner you wish. There's so much to do this could easily swallow up hundreds of hours of your life. Exploring, hunting, collecting, using whatever play style you favour means boredom is kept at bay. And whilst it doesn't quite reach the giddy heights of GTA V or Fallout 4, its richly detailed universe (ably supported by fantastic flights of fancy into Shangrila) ensures that there is almost too much to do. An exhilerating, if violent, delight!
