Quite a brilliant phone. Had this for over a month and I don't regret buying it one bit. Yes the reviews said the camera isn't very good but so far I havnt found any problems in that department yet, indoor or out. It comes as no suprsise that it is lightning fast and blinkfeed and the optional widget that learns what apps your use where really do work. It looks and feels like a top quality phone, which it really is for that price. Battery easily lasts morning through to night and charges fast as well.

Good but not great
A good phone but does over heat. Also the screen is not as appealing as Samsung phone screens. I ended up selling it and getting a Galaxy Note 5

Strong, fast and elegant... but worth the upgrade?
I've been a fan of HTC devices since the original Desire and was exited to upgrade to the M9 from my HTC One M7. There are plenty of tech reviews, written when the M9 was released, that will tell you it is up there with the best smartphones available today, so I'll focus on my experience 4 months on.BEST BITSIt still looks and feels like a premium device. Quite a few of my iPhone-owning friends have been impressed with it's great looks and then confused by the lack of an Apple logo on the back.Software updates (I'm now running the very latest version of Android Lollipop), which are very regular for a non-Nexus device, have improved what was already great performance into something stunning. Every single app, from graphics intensive games to memory heavy Office apps run beautifully.Battery life is now superb (thanks to those updates). My battery level is rarely lower than 40% by the end of an average day, with use that includes full email/social syncing, web browsing, listening to music and map navigation with GPS.Sound is, in my opinion, the best of any smartphone, whether through it's external "BoomSound" speakers or through headphones. I was concerned when Beats Audio was dropped, but the quality is now even better, with richer mid-tones and crisper high-end; just don't choose the default HTC headphone settings, which are way too bass heavy.I love HTC features like Blinkfeed, but you can turn them off if you don't like them.THE RESTThe screen is good, especially at higher brightnesses, but feels dark when used under auto settings. Colours also seem less rich than other top-end devices. The One M9 sports a strong camera, but I'm disappointed that HTC dropped the Ultra Pixel tech from the main shooter. While the front-facing cam (for selfies) is fine, the main camera requires a bit of settings adjustment under varying light conditions, so is less than ideal for quick snaps.I've mentioned a lot of good stuff here, with quite a few improvements made since the M9 first came out, especially battery life, but it's still not a big step up from the previous M8. Compared with my old HTC One M7, it's a significant improvement, but it's an evolution not a revolution. If you've never tried the modern HTC One range then I can wholeheartedly recommend the M9. If you are an M7 owner, or more so if you have an M8, then it's certainly worth considering, but not a must have.

Disappointed
Avoid buying from Olabra, this phone was my first purchase from them and the phone stopped working just short of a year. It doesn't even boot up properly anymore, it won't let me get my details off the phone or anything. I experienced a massive slow down within 6 months of the purchase and the battery life took a massive dip.I recommend buying a Oneplus phone which is a little more expensive but it gets the job done perfectly, avoid this phone and avoid this buyer. Complete waste of money.

Professional Technologist summary
As the best reviewers found, compared to competition, out of the box;- The camera is poor- The battery life is very poor- The performance due to overheating throttling is even worse- The ergonomics and weight is second to none- The look and feel is pure excellence- The screen is OK, a bit too green tho and inferior to the M8s- The sound is amazing and unbeatableOverall, if you are moving from the M8 or similar, don't do it. The battery life is very poor, 3-4 hours screen on time maximum (typical). If you are moving from the M7 or earlier, do it, you won't regret.

HTC one m9 so niceee might buy it twice
Brilliant piece of TechIt looks and feels great.I can't find major faults with this handset only minor niggles. The Camera has more than enough quality to capture good looking shots. Struggles in low light without flash leaving images grainy but apart from that superb!Another note: Buy a Qualcomm Quick Charger.... changes the way you will use your phone completely!

Delighted with product
Delighted with product. I decided on this particular model rather than the latest i.e. M10 is because I don't like to go beyond 5 inches, its price has come down somewhat from that when it was first launched in 2015 and in my experience the sound quality from the software and front facing speakers puts all others in the shade. The phone arrived in its original sealed packaging. Inside the box the manual did not contain information in the English language and the supplied three pin plug useless in the UK as it can only fit in German supply sockets. Presumably the phone was originally designated for sale in that country or somewhere else in Europe. This was not a deal braker for me as the phone itself is designed for use in any European country including ourselves and I have plenty of chargers lying around that I can use. One can also access the full manual via the HTC support website. However I think buyers should be informed of this and not just find out when opening the box. For this reason I reluctantly award 4 stars to the supplier.
