Q: Is the 56cm width the diameter of the bowl itself, or it plus the legs when they are extended/open?

I purchased mine to it would replace an old one I built into a table, the actual measurement of the bowl is 54.5cm so completely had to re-do the top of my table. Apart from that though it seems like a pretty good product

Q: Where does the wood grate go? Surely it would burn???

By wood grate they mean a grate for putting wood etc on. Its made of metal not wood!!!

Q: I have astro turf grass instead of normal grass - if I put the fire pit on the astro turf would it mark/melt the ground it is stood on?

Hi....it does actually say on the packaging not to put it on grass, as the heat from the fire bowl will burn anything underneath it, so I wouldn't recommend putting it on your astroturf without putting maybe a stone slab or something for it to stand on. Hope that helps - by the way, the firepit looks amazing, I used it for the first time last week!
