"Memoirs Of A Madman serves as a career spanning audio release featuring 17 of Ozzy Osbourne's greatest hit singles remastered and compiled in one place for the first time in his career. This set offers fans of the multi-platinum recording artist, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and three-time Grammy winning singer and songwriter the ultimate collection from Ozzy's distinguished solo career. Ozzy's ongoing solo career spans four decades--as both a successful solo artist and as the lead singer of Black Sabbath--and his music is as relevant today as ever; it still resonates daily on TV, in movies, on radio and at stadium sports events. For all the things Ozzy Osbourne has been known for, Memoirs Of A Madman puts the focus squarely on the thing he does best: crafting some of the best, most passionate rock and roll of all time. "

Memoirs of Randy Rhoads
Worth investing in just for the Randy Rhoads clips at the beginningWhat a talent, seen him in 1980 at Newcastle city hall And I remembermy jaw hitting the deck when I watched his guitar solo, still sticks in my headafter all these years, what Ozzy would have done with him on Guitar allthese years Bah What a crying shame but hey ho the rest of the dvd is pureclass (if not Dodgy camera work here n there)buy it my friends you wont be disappointed

All Aboard......
It's been a long time coming but at last we have a collection of Ozzy's videos. This is a no frills collection mostly in 4.3 picture format with 2.0 sound. It would have benefited from a bit of mastering and upgrade to 5.1 or DTS similar to other artists' collections such as Def Leppard but it's still great to have a them on DVD. Yes, Shot In The Dark video is missing but I think we all know why!The second disc is a fantastic lengthy collection of live performances and interviews, of varying sound and picture quality, covering a large part of Ozzy's much celebrated and in some cases inebriated solo career. There are one or two blips though. In true Sharon style there is nothing featuring the original Blizzard of Oz line-up, it's as if Lee Kerslake didn't exist and the only brief glimpse we get of Bob Daisley is on the first disc. There is also nothing from the Bark At The Moon Tour that also featured Bob. However you can still find the excellent (unofficial) DVD of the 1984 Bark At The Moon gig from Salt Lake City on the internet. The footage from 1986 Ultimate Sin Tour featuring Jake E Lee states that this appears for the first time on DVD. While that is correct in the official sense what I find odd is that the footage and sound quality are inferior to the old previously available VHS format that has been transferred unofficially to DVD by a number of suppliers over the years. In summary though this is a welcome release and long overdue. Jump aboard the Crazy Train, crack open a bottle of your favourite tipple, turn up the volume and enjoy.
