The best mylar bags.
Wallaby mylar bags are the best you can get on Amazon in my opinion. I use all of their bags, 5 gallon, 2 gallon, 1 gallon, and these pint bags are great! They're gusseted so they're easy to stand up while adding product to them. These were perfect for my storing of cocoa powder for long term storage. A 5lb bag of Hershey's cocoa powder divided into 10 of the pint mylar bags were perfect to have a 24oz mason jar left for immediate use. I recommend Wallaby mylar to anyone. Quality, thick mylar bags. Never had a problem with a single one!

Amazing quality
These bags are THICK. Ain’t nothing getting thru this mylar. Love that they stand up for easier filling. I use a straw to suck the air out and then close the zipper. Seal is super smooth and I feel like my dry goods are safe in these bags. Bought them to store my giant Costco bags of rice and they’re awesome. Highly recommend these.

They stand up while you fill them!
Excellent Quality - much thicker than what I used 10 yrs ago. One plus is they stand up while you fill them, so you don't need to put then in a tub or whatever while you fill....I just filled 20 today.THIS THICKNESS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR HEAT SEALING W/ O2 ABSORBERS!The trick to long term sealing is squeezing out all the air you can - then seal it right there. With the O2 absorbers in, and VERY little airspace, the O2 absorbers will draw in the bag. If done right, it should resemble shrink wrap. You should, for example, see the shape of beans against a hard drawn bag.The thickness of 7.5 Mil makes these vey hard to work with. 10 years ago I sealed a couple hundred pounds of beans and rice with thinner bags and a common lady's curling iron. 10 yrs later still sealed tight. For the 7.5 Mil bags, I bought a dedicated sealing press, rated for mylar. I needed to make multiple passes to insure a good melt. IMHO - Opt for a thinner mil bag, you'll get overall better results and less hassle!

So far so good.
I live in an exceptionally humid climate and am using these for my spices. I include food safe little dessicant packages and dump the spices in them. I have fought humidity damage of my spices for a long time and thought I had found it with little plastic bags with dessicant sealed and put into little mason jars and kept in the refrigerator. They held so little with the tiny bags and added dessicant, then the rims rusted. I put everything in these mylar bags about a month ago and so far, all is good. They do seem to seal well but like any zip lock, you have to be sure. They have more room than what I used b4, with room for several of those tiny dessicant packages. I love the labels. I have them all arranged in alphabetical order in a 4" high sided plastic tray (for refrigerator storage) but have not had to put them in the refrigerator. I may be onto something here!
