Wheel Rear 700 x 28/35 Silver, QR, Alloy QR Silver FW 5-7Sp, 14g UCP Spokes, 36H

This wheel was a replacement for an older alloy wheel on a 1980 Univega Gran Turismo.Shipment was right on time; the wheel seems in true and well-balanced, no adjustment necessary. Hub seems fine and smooth, and axle accepted a Shimano 6-speed freewheel. The rim is a fraction wide for a standard 700cm x 28 cm tire, but extra inflation when mounting the tire helped the tire to pop out into fit.

I bought this to replace the original wheel on my ~12 year old Specialized Crossroads that was repeatedly breaking spokes for no apparent reason. It was shipped promptly and arrived within a few days.As other reviewers have noted, rim tape is not included, so you either have to purchase that separately, or pull it off the old wheel (which is what I did). Also, as others experienced, the bearing cones were a bit too tight and needed adjustment.However, when I pulled the cones off to confirm that there was sufficient grease on the bearings (there was), I found a chunk of metal inside, apparently a remnant of the machining process (see photos).Other than those issues, the wheel seems fine. It was reasonably in-true (just a slight wobble, not worth messing with).

Fantastic! Way better that the OEM wheel and hub I replaced. High quality hub, bearings, and rim. Perfect round. My cassette sprocket fit perfectly. An upgrade ... really nice quick release axle included! I appreciate the effort to get it to me quickly.

I used this rim to replace a bad rear wheel on my Schwinn 21 speed Hybrid Bicycle. I removed the freewheel sprocket from my old hub and spun it on the new hub assembly. Put the wheel on my bike. I had to re-configure the brake caliper assembly in order to make the brakes work because the sides and depth of the new rim were different. Everything came out fine. Very happy.

The wheel is the right size, but this is not for a novice bike enthusiast. The rim is not really ready to throw on your bike out of the box although I will say it is a "fully assembled" rim in the sense that all the spokes are connected and the rim is fully assembled.The cone was too tight and I suspect the hub might not have been lubricated as the ball bearings made some noise before adjusting the rim. Once adjusted and rim tape installed, followed by a new tube and putting on the tire, the rim works fine!Also, this rim loses one star for not including rim tape. Yes it's cheap to buy ($1 for cheap rubber rim tape, $6 for high quality French made, purchased at my local, expensive :( bike shop in Los Angeles) but come on, no rim tape with a new rim from the factory??!!!! Seriously, just charge me an extra dollar and include it so I don't have to make a special trip to the bike shop just so I can safely install a tube on my new rim from Amazon that I was very excited to install. Note to seller: INCLUDE RIM TAPE DUDE/DUDETTE! Charge a buck more!

I was very happy with this purchase. I needed a wheel to put on my bike so I could use my mag trainer and not use my off road tires. I was even more please when I discovered it was made in USA

Wasn't sure just what I'd get due to minimal description. Each wheel set included bearings, hollow axle and through lock. Didn't include the freewheel, spoke guard or tube liner. Also, I added extra grease to the bearings and readjusted the pressure on the bearings. I'm hoping the 14g spokes break a lot less than the 15g that I've been running ever since I switched from 27" to 700. Both the wheel sets arrived fairly true and so far I'm impressed with the value and performance.

I used this whell to replace a broken one. It is good quality and a good value
