***** There is such varying quality and performance among pens. For the price, the Pilot Acroball is one of the best writing ballpoint pens out there. I collect both fine (refillable) and disposable pens and have tested hundreds searching for "the pen." I have other opinions on gel, rollerball, and fountain pens, but as for ballpoints, the Acroball is one of my favorites for the below reasons.What I like:+ The ink starts immediately upon writing.+ Continuous uninterrupted flow of ink.+ Not a lot of pressure required to write.+ It writes at narrower angles (depending on your writing stance).+ The colors are relatively vibrant for a ballpoint.

I am extremely picky when it comes to my writing pens/pencils. I love these. The smooth gliding of the pen makes it such a pleasure to write with. I prefer the fine or extra fine point. I dont care for the medium point pens so I give those away at work and everyone loves them as well. I have re ordered these multiple times and most likely will keep re ordering them as long as their available and are continuously made well.

I could easily order pens from my through employee request, but they would not be THESE pens!! I am writing pretty much ALL day long with very important notes to medical staff and want everything to be as neat as possible. These pens are comfortable to hole and I have NEVER had any issues with them “blotching”! I pay for them myself because I LOVE them so much!! Smooth writing and comfortable grip…what more could you ask??!!

Smooth, no skips, comfortable, made in Japan. A really nice pen. I needed to find a replacement for my old go-to pen which went downhill badly. I think this is it.

So smooth and easy to write with! Makes my handwriting nicer lol. Took off a star because a couple of them get clumpy ink at the tip.

The pens themselves are great. However, Amazon lists them as black ink. They are NOT black ink, but the color of the pen (pink, green. blue, etc.). I had to send back,, but only because of Amazon, not the pen quality. I like these because they do not smear.

I'm particular, I like the crinkle and texture of certain papers, the binding and weight of certain books. There's something about this pen that's special. It was the ONLY pen I used to take notes in my 4 years of college. Hence the reason why I bought a large pack of these. Like, I ran out of ink several times using these pens.The ink is fairly wet/smoother compared to other ballpoint pens (but nothing like a gel pen or the pilot G2). Does smudge if you touch it in like the first 5 seconds but after that it's good. Compared to other ballpoints, the ink is darker and the writing is much, much smoother, which is why I like it. It feels like less friction than your typical cheap bic or whatever. It's not super super fine, but just the right amount to write a page full of notes on college-rule and have it feel filled out and balanced. If you're not particular like me, you'll like this pen. If you are particular like me, you'll like this pen.

I love these pens. I've used many other wonderful pens (i.e. Vicuna, Uniball etc.) but these are still my go-to writing pens. Super vivid, very comfortable and very smooth to write. Not too expensive either. Note that the blue writes the best - the black is quite alright as well. Some of the other colors are not as good. The pen does still blotch from time to time, but definitely less than other comparable pens and definitely much less than a gel rollerball pen. However, these may not be the best in the workplace if your colleagues enjoy clicking their pens during meetings!
