Great
This Lifestraw pitcher is a replacement for a Clearly Filtered pitcher I had for years. The handle broke off, it was difficult to clean, and it was very expensive, so the search began for another option. I’ve been using this Lifestraw product for a few weeks now, and I’m very happy so far. The company has a great reputation for filtering the water and actually making it safer, while also contributing to the those in need. I was able to fit the 10 cup pitcher in my refrigerator door after removing an upper shelf, which I think helps keep the pitcher cleaner than leaving it out on the counter. Also, the filling mechanism is superior to most competitors, as you don’t have to take the lid off to fill and it doesn’t leak if you pour before filtering is complete! The pitcher can become quite heavy on the wrist when filled, but I don’t see the handle breaking easily because it is located higher than others I’ve used. I did purchase the silicone base/sleeve for protection because I have children who might put it down on a hard surface, and the sleeve fit like a glove. Can I also add that the Lifestraw pitcher is actually attractive? It isn’t an eyesore on the dinner table if you entertain. That wasn’t something I required, but it is added bonus. At this time, I would definitely recommend this pitcher filter!

The Freshest Tasting Water
The water from this is phenomenal. It honestly feels like even the texture of the water is somehow softer and better. I love that it directly states it can be stored countertop, as many filters specifically say fridge only.It DOES take a long time to fill. Don't let the videos showing a steady stream fool you, they either tampered with their filter or it is faulty. Even after two weeks of filling the pitcher 2-3 times daily, I don't get anywhere near that speed. I do, however, get about the speed LifeStraw claims. LifeStraw very specifically says it takes about 7-10 minutes for water to drip through the cone and 25-30 minutes total to fill the entire pitcher. The water quality is just insane though, and the fact that it filters out bacteria, parasites, chlorin, and microplastics make it totally worth a small amount of patience and preparation. I just have a large metal pitcher that I fill with the purified water, so I always have some on hand, and whenever I pass through the kitchen I pour water into the pitcher as needed.

Not Perfect!
So this is my second life structured after six months of having the first one had to replace it because of leaks from the bottom. Didn’t think anything of it I thought maybe we put it down too hard on the counter every time we use it. So I purchased a second one and started placing it on a softer material six months forward, and I am seeing leaks again. The leaks from the deck leave pretty substantial that’s on the counter and I also don’t want to ruin the granite. Looking closely at the joke. I realized that it’s not one complete plastic sheet. It has a vertical seen running through the center and then a bottom circular base that’s attached to the cone of the junk so essentially creating two separate seams where the water seems to be coming out from. Why is the water jug great when it was working absolutely. I also like life shots. Other products that I have a travel very disappointed that this didn’t work the way I had hoped.

Water Tastes Great, Took Forever To Arrive And Came Scratched
Pros: water tastes great and I’ve been drinking more water. Fills easy. Looks great in my fridge.Cons: it took forever to arrive. I ordered it on Black Friday and it didn’t arrive until Christmas. It was frustrating that it took so long to be delivered. The initial setup with the filters and soaking and whatnot took a while, set some time aside to do this. Also disappointing that it is plastic, I thought it was glass for some reason. The pitcher showed up scratched which was a bummer, but by that time I wasn’t ready to wait another month to get a new one to arrive. I wish the photos showed the pitcher in a fridge door as I almost got the bigger one and I’m not sure it would fit well.

Great product
Super elegant and it makes your everyday water usage feel luxurious. The water does taste improved which isn't always the case. I trust Lifestraw and have a few in my emergency go bag. We did purchase the silicone bottom bumper and think maybe that could come standard.

Amazing
Best pitcher filter I ever used it is probably the fastest at filtering water I’ve ever used as well. And my hard nasty tap water tastes amazing after being filtered with this.

Functional and fragile
The filtered water tastes great, doesn't have any strange off-tastes like some other filters. Love that this filter works for bacteria and parasites and identifies the NSF rating. A few cons: plastic is easily cracked and must be handled with care (don't drop the filter housing!) Frequency of carbon filter replacement is every two months which is comparatively frequent. It's not the easiest to clean without long, thin tools to get into the nooks and crannies.
