Moose Old School Skateboard Deck (10" x 33", Black)

I am 52 years old and am still into carving around and slapping some curbs. I have many decks to use, but they are so expensive and are pretty much considered serious art pieces nowadays, and I don’t want to ruin them, aesthetically. Therefore, I bought this blank deck which is basically the same dimensions as my Lucero Black Label Street Thing reissue (shown in photos), but with more of a modern concave to boot. It is a nice maple construction and came with Black Diamond grip tape. Just grip it and rip it!!!

I wanted to build a cruiser board to have some fun on and decided to see what was online before I went into a skate shop and paid $100+ for a complete. I'm glad I did!! This deck is awesome! Nice and big old school feel. So fun! Thanks for the free grip tape as well 😊

This is the only true fishtail board I could find under 150$ from Portland to Albany! I looked for 3 weekends in a row before I found this. Its also the only one of this model that has pop! All the others are straight at the tail with no pop. Truly shreads on the street or vert! All around a very hard to find and a super sick board!

I bought this deck via Prime on Thursday with the intention of riding Saturday. I get the e-mail that it's coming on Friday. Sweet. I'll tape it up and wait for my hardware. I sit at work all day thinking about how I'm gonna rock the grip tape pattern. I come home, open the box, and pull out the monster old-school deck inside...nice...where's the grip tape? Part number for this deck is BK1033-BK + GRIP. +GRIP.....+GRIP. There is no grip tape. Now what? There isn't a shop within 20 miles that has anything over 9" wide. Sigh.

This is a decent deck. I really like the size. I use it for skateparks/vert and I needed something bigger than my 8.5 x 31 street deck. One thing I really like about this deck is the kick nose. I have a pool board that is a bit shorter and the nose is flat and I always feel like my front foot is going to come off. That's not a problem with this deck.I expected it to be really heavy, but it isn't. Weighs just a bit more than my street deck. I also figured it might be really warped, but I was surprised to find that it was pretty flat. I've seen plenty of top of the line decks that were a lot more warped.The quality is okay, but not the greatest. There are some spots on the bottom and edges where the wood isn't good. Even one place where it looks like they might have used wood filler. The paint is very thin and is white underneath. I found that out while putting on the grip tape. It doesn't take much to go through the layer of black. Up to this point it seems pretty solid though, despite the flaws.Overall it was a really good deal. I needed something inexpensive at this size to find out if this is the size I actually want. I didn't want to have to drop $80 just to experiment. Mine had grip tape with it, too...not guaranteeing yours will, though. I'll probably upgrade before long, but this was a good buy.
