My kids have all read and live the percy Jackson series. Wonderful, age appropriate reading. The magnus chase series is not appropriate in my opinion for age 9+. There is alot of talk about transgenderism, junkies, suicide etc. I was horrified. And I don't think I would recommend these books to anyone now. No need to have all that in a kids book.

My son was over the moon receiving these books...start of his collection
