Fun and Encouraging
We have long loved the Osmo products starting with my oldest who is now actually 11 and have been using it since then with my youngest, who just turned seven. This reading program is fantastic. I think the key thing for people to note is that you need a quiet environment as it’s going to work with the sound of your child’s voice. My son has been in speech therapy for quite a while and we’re now just able to use program. I don’t think it would have been ableto understand the words with the pronunciation and enunciation that he had previously. The character in it - Oliver - is the cutest dog, and we all love watching him bring to life the stories as we read the pages aloud together.

Makes learning fun
My daughter had little interest in practicing reading. I saw this in a store so I did a little reading and found it on Amazon. It’s easy to set up and does make reading fun. The books are interactive - you follow along with a wand and it can hear your child reading and pronouncing words and has lots of encouragement. It also gives parents tips to helping their child learn. Overall, it is a great gift for early learners and kiddos just starting school.

Well Worth The Money
This Osmo Advanced Reading Kit was the perfect gift for my granddaughter. I was delighted to see her having fun while working on reading skills. The reading kit was just as the seller had described and was a worthwhile purchase.

Not Fire Tablet Compatible
The Osmo store page states this is compatible with fire tablets and on the instruction insert in the package it even says fire tablets can be used; however, the url it gives in the instructions to download the fire tablet app doesn’t exist and their website says it’s only compatible with an iPad/iPhone.

my 6 yr old son loves this reading program
my son loved the reading games. He hates reading so I was happy to find something that interest him. We liked it so much that I signed up for the subscription service to have new books delivered monthly. They did send the same first set of books that is pictured above and would not refund or exchange for new books, that was upsetting. Looking forward to the set of books next month.

God sent!
My 6-year-old has ADHD and is struggling with reading, etc. I tried ABC Mouse with my oldest and wasn't a fan. This keeps her attention. She loves the wand. I love that it has items she can physically hold that help keep her focused. We also have many other kits from Osmo and she loves them all.

Fun game but disappointed with its abilities
My son is in Kindergarten and is not very interested in reading or writing. He loves when we read books to him but he has no desire to do it independently. I thought this might be a fun way to engage him. The other osmo games were a great tool to use to assist with learning math and other skills. This game is fun and engaging. However, the level one is really advanced for him and it's frustrating that the sight words are much more advanced than the sight words he is learning in his class. We live in Arizona so I know our sight words probably differ from other places but I wish there was a personalization area or game that would allow you to put in your own sight words to work on. So unfortunately my son just gets mad and frustrated at the game because it is expecting a much higher level than he is at. We will have to wait until 1st grade to see if it is an appropriate level for him. The game also never corrects the child if they say the words incorrectly and never revisits material that the children could not complete. Instead it keeps moving on and just getting harder. So my son already struggles at the beginning and instead of working on those same lessons until he masters it, the game moves on and just gets harder for him making him more frustrated. This in return kills his self esteem and he ends up just walking away from the game feeling disappointed in himself.Another issue is that you have to pay monthly for this program. It's a little frustrating that you have to pay for each osmo tools separately and then they expect you to pay monthly?
