Works, fairly easy to install.
I did not install the faucet (the existing tub already had one that was exactly the same), but the rest of it went up easily. The instructions were utterly useless, but after a half hour of laying all the parts out in front of the tub, I figured out the exact layout and it went up easily with just a cordless drill and adjustable wrench (I did also need a handheld mini hacksaw to cut down the ceiling support rod). My tub was in a corner, one long side and the rear end against a wall, the faucet end and other side open with no wall, and this worked great, would have worked the opposite way too, as long as you have a wall on one side and one end of the tub you'll be fine. My tub was roughly 57-58 inches long if I remember correctly, so if you have a long tub like that, don't order a shorter one, you need the 54". There is a certain order you need to put the pieces together in, make sure you think about that before installing, or else you'll be taking sections apart to install a ring that connects to another section, etc. Just lay it all out in front of the tub first. I can't comment too much on the quality or appearance or longevity, its very lightweight but seems sturdy and looks okay, it was the cheapest option I could find for a rental property.

Good for the price.
This is obviously a cheap show kit - not something you might want for full time use, though. I bought it for temporary use at my cabin until I renovate the bathroom. It came a little banged up, one small bend in pipe, but I was able to make it work. No leaks, it works ok, but is definitely light-duty. You don't want to be pulling on the curtain (I have to keep reminding my kids about that). I haven't used it enough to know how well the finish would hold up. Overall, it seems like a good value for what I intended it to be used for, but like I said, if this is for your primary home shower, you might want something a bit more sturdy.

Good one
It's not hard to install, my biggest concern was how to catch the studs inside the wall. Don't ever leave it hanging only on the drywall. I was lucky there was a cross bar. If you can't find the studs or add cross bars inside the wall, screw in 1x4 on the wall, pain it or whatever and then fasten the frame to it. Frame is made of very light aluminum tubes, little bit longer than the tub, so I cut the straight pipes few inches. I did it with copper tube cutter which damages the pipe edge. It took me a long time to fix it, so I can fit the other pipe in. I used the same cutter for the other pipe, but very slowly, no pressure, took me almost couple of minutes to cut it, but no damage. Faucet is probably not the best quality (for the price is good), but it works and is easy to install, but I had to re-do the plumbing and add shut off valves. Overall if you're not a professional and can't turn the water off - leave it to them, but otherwise it is easy to install. Always make sure water is off or you can turn it off within seconds.

It's alright for the price.
I bought this to float above my tub, only used one wall bracket, ended up having to order a second ceiling support to hold the back end up. I had to fix leaks not only in the shower head, but the cold handle on the faucet too. The assembly was easy enough, I do recommended a second person to at least hold everything. I had to use packaging tape to get the parts to connect long enough to screw everything in place because they just kept slipping out. Good luck cutting anything to make them shorter, the aluminum is pretty soft, you'll need to move slowly. You cannot re-thread it either, but I was able to get a shark bite to hold certain things. For the price, I should've gotten one part for the faucet and shower gear and another floating shower rod but I made it work.

Been using for one year. Works great!
Installation was pretty easy. Been taking showers for a year and still sturdy. Only thing is the shower head and sometimes it slides right or left. Not too bad, I move the shower head often. Hey, if it makes your clawfoot into a shower... this is a good inexpensive way to do it. Search for the part number on the "Tube" and you'll see me putting it together.

plumber of 21 years says......
This is a huge rip off do not buy this. First of all if you can't shut your water down, remove the old tub valve and replace it with a new one you will need to hire a plumber. You'll most likely be dealing with old pipes, old valves that do not hold and you could run into major problems if you attempt this. Then again it could go smooth but if you break something and then need to call an emergency plumbing company in while you have water leaking all over your house you'll be paying out the nose! (like 2 hundred minimum and maybe as much as 6 hundred if you want them to do the install. Not to mention the possible water damage) Second of all the rods in this are flimsy and horribly designed. You're better off finding the valve, riser and shower head then making your own rods out of copper pipes, hanging them with split ring hangers from the ceiling.Problem with the rods is one bracket goes where it goes. You can't line it up with a stud so if you have plaster like me it will be a nightmare to put it in. The biggest most annoying problem is you'll be loosing 6 inches of your tub because they only bring the curtain 26 inches off the wall. The edge of my tub is 32 inches and it only has a 2 inch gap between it and the wall. So I'll be rubbing into the curtain the whole time. All they had to do was make the Rods coming off the wall like 6-8 inches longer. Seeing as the material is so cheep I can't imagine it would have cost them another 2 dollars to make a good productAll in all this may turn into a very frustrating installation for you. Which wouldn't be the end of the world but the end result is unacceptable. How anyone is happy with this product is beyond me. How the designed it so poorly is also beyond me. And yes, I bought the jumbo set so that's not the problem.
