So Cool It Opens Up Another World
Well what can I say, this thermal monocular is completely wild. It takes some getting used to the buttons, especially in the dark. It does also require a bit of frequent clearing in semi-auto mode as the pixelation becomes stale after a few minutes of viewing, but it clears right away. The battery lasts for a very long time. Now for the really cool part. Aside from watching deer traverse through the trees at night, you can also see Unidentified Flying Objects both at night and during the day, that are not visible to the naked eye, even with a blued night sky. That in itself makes this one of the coolest toys I have purchased. You can even snap pics or record your video for playback later.

Very Good - Could be better if it came with a neck strap
Very good picture quality and battery life. Range finder is excellent and useful. Monocular did not come with a neck strap which is essential if you're going to use it outside - which of course you will.

Not just for hunters!
We don't hunt, but we use this to see wildlife on hikes, check for birds nests in trees before trimming branches, check for overheating in wiring, check for water pipe locations in the walls (run hot water first), so many uses. For some reason, all the nails show up as dark spots in the walls, so it makes an excellent stud-finder as well. It's also fun just to play around with this device, as it shows heat signatures from footprints, etc.

Pulsar Axion
Great budget scanner. The 384 quality is to be expected, good enough to identify out to about 350 yards on a good night. Battery life is great, range finder is a must and very accurate.

Great Monocular!
These are made in Lithuania and Pulsar delivers great image quality. There is some pixelation at higher magnification, as expected, but detection is all you're really after at long range anyway. Cove Creek Outfitters is an awesome company and are only a little over an hour away from me. If I knew they were the vendor I would have driven directly to their shop. You will be pleased!

Bad luck or bad lot?
I have a Pulsar thermal scope and love it. My scope is a previous model of the XQ series so I expected this spotting monocular to be close in quality. I was sadly mistaken. Looking out to 100-150 yds I couldn’t distinguish between a calf, or a hog. Details easily seen in my scope, didn’t appear in this hand held.I’m sending it back and hope the next one works better

Received, likely opened before, did not work…returned
While the return process was not bad (took some time due to the cost i am sure) it was discouraging that I apparently received a unit that was previously opened by someone else. The unit did not work… only a mostly white screen with some pixelated colors…. Amazon’s QC did not unfortunately pick this up. Am not confident in purchasing higher cost electronics via amazon now and wish i did not feel this way as Amazon has been great, mostly.
