🚗 Elevate Your Ride with Precision Performance!
The VCM Muzzler Harness Disable Kit is designed for Honda vehicles equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine, including models like the Odyssey, Ridgeline, and Accord. This kit helps mitigate excessive oil consumption and engine wear by utilizing a selection of resistors to optimize engine temperature management. Installation is straightforward with included instructions, making it an essential upgrade for any Honda owner looking to enhance their vehicle's longevity and performance.

Works good just double check the white connector.
This does work but just a heads up- mine arrived with the connector connected to the black wire incorrectly. So make sure you have the connector right otherwise the resistor wont have any effect on the coolant temp the ecu sees. I used an obd2 gauge display to monitor (the modified) coolant temp. Supposedly vcm wont activate as long as the ecu sees under 167 degrees. Try to use the smallest ohm resistor that works for you. That way you modify the reading the least. Also keep in mind that using this will make your coolant gauge on the dash read lower than the actual temperature. I set the obd2 gauge to set an alert slightly over normal (modified normal). So like 175.Just my non professional opinion. But for me this works exactly as advertised. Also the plugs were correct for my 2011 Odyssey.

Meh. It's technically not plug and play. Modifications must be made for it to work as advertised.
I couldn't get it to work with any of the resistors that it came with. Kind of seemed like all the resistors were the same even though color coded differently. I ended up getting another 120ohm resistor and put it in series with the one that this came with and it's working now. Operating temperature shown on the gauge is quite a bit lower than I would like, but for some reason when I pair the 120ohm resistor with any of the others, my temperature gauge gets maxed out as if its overheating really bad. At least I know where the gauge is supposed to be with these series of resistors. You can probably just buy some resistors and cut into the wiring harness itself and hard wire them in rather than buying this. I suppose you can buy two of these kits to make things a bit easier and just plug the adapters into each other to get the same effect I got.

Learned that Honda Oddys' had an issue with the valve shut off to save MPG
Did the research to find that older Odyssey had a issue that they want to cover up. They had a ecco feature that shut off the two valves to save gas....... Well this caused the piston to get clogged and mess up the plugs. So dont replace or rebuild the engine with Honda. $$$, just replace the plugs and get this installed ASAP. This tricks the van to not engage the feature. you will get lower MPG but not have any more issues like I did.

Works…
Like others have said…kinda cheaply made…no labels or indicators for ohm resistance on included resistors. You have to guess or google them and even that is not 100% accurate. Easy to install on 2011 Pilot. Took me 2 tries to find the right resistor for mine. The first one set the check engine and vtm-4 light immediately so I knew the resistance was too high…so I tried the next one down and the VTM light turned off immediately and the check engine light turned off after a few drives…no more ECO light and truck feels a lot smoother. You will want to definitely take some time to at least wrap the connector and resistor with electrical tape to keep it from shorting out or getting corroded. Took a star away just because of the lack of resistor identification.

Easy to put.
Thanks. Solution to take out that "eco mode" thing from my honda odyssey 2011.

Very poorly made
None of the resistors work properly and continually trigger the check engine light. Save the hassle and pay for the real deal

Low cost and it works
This product is about the simplest you can do without just cutting the wire and splicing a small capacitor in series. I ended up with a much better made, but much, much more expensive model with plug in capacitor chips. They work! The ECO light is out....

It works sometimes.
This is priced at $30 and all it is cheap harness ($2) and 4 different resistors ( 40 cents) so is not worth it the money at all BUT dose the job when it works! You need to keep changing depending on the outside temperature and weather. If you really want something better than pay more for the one that is self adjusting. This one looks cheap at $30 but will consume your time and like i said is no more than $2.50 value in it. The rest is profit for the seller and amazon.
