I decided to purchase one of the SimpliSafe outdoor cameras to add to our security system. In reading about it, I was impressed with the description of how easily it would be to get the desired view area due to the magnetic mount. However, when I received the product and installed it, I was immediately concerned about how easily the camera could detach and fall to the ground. It seemed like anyone could toss something at it or reach with a stick to whack it off the magnet arrangement. I even wondered if high wind gusts or even some hail storm could possibly make it detach. So, when I discovered this mount on Amazon, I immediately ordered it. What a difference!! Very good design and materials. It is absolutely stable, and doesn't move at all in the highest wind gusts, rain, hail, etc. In addition, I purchased the UYODM 25' power cable so that I don't need to haul the stepladder out to periodically remove the battery to take it inside the house for recharging. It required taking a little time to drill a hole through the wall above my garage door, through which the cable is plugged into an electric receptacle ..thereby keeping the camera's battery fully charged. Very pleased with the mount and the cable.

I recently purchased a smart home security system from a major brand. Unfortunately I can’t use the magnet mounts for outdoors since the highest point under the eaves of my one story house is about 6.5’. So I have to have a screwed in mount with attachment to the camera. I ordered two different mounts before this, one a knock off of Wasserstein. It wouldn’t hold up to being struck by a rubber mallet. And trying to rotate it was difficult. Awful.This is the first mount that is sturdy enough, way easier to operate than a one screw type mount. I just get my ladder out climb up and turn it left or right then retighten. Anyone else find it strange that there are very limited mounts to protect an expensive outdoor camera. Amazing in an industry that calls itself security. The mfg themselves provide worthless mounts unless you can mount up high. But you really trust a magnet is going to hold that for long time?

I live in a ranch home and installed three of the Simplisafe cameras. Anyone could jump up and knock them off the magnetic mounts, so I bought these to install the cameras. I feel much more secure with these. my only (minor) annoyance was they didn't tell you what size drill bit to use the anchors provided, so I ended up using my own to be safe. Installation was easy and they are very tight.

The weight of snow and ice was causing our SIMPLISAFE camera to slide down on the magnetic mount, so I replaced the magnetic mount with this product. Highly recommend. The product is well-engineered, sturdy, perfectly machined and coated, and looks neat. Can’t imagine a better solution.

It is a simple product and does what it is supposed to do. Itholds up the camera nicely. I had it mounted for months now.

I have several outside cameras for my security system. These are sturdy, well made, and easy to mount externally. Can be used inside as well. Does not blow in the wind as the support is fantastic. Highly recommend. I have used these on my Simplesafe Security system but other systems can use as well.

So much more secure than the standard simplysafe bracket. Easily change position as needed but stays in place when tightened. No issues with rust in a wet environment
