Fits true to size (Medium will fit 8 month old baby)
Got this in size M for my son (8 months, 22lbs), when i first saw it i thought it would be too big but once i put it on him it fit perfectly. My only complaint would be the buttons were too loose and 1 fell down, but it can be fixed. Used it for captains night on cruise and everyone loved it, he looked super cute with this outfit.

It is SLIGHTLY big on my two year old, but he is also a really big kid. He is in the 99.7th percentile for children his age. Still, the quality and material of this item is great and it looks adorable when worn. Thanks!
