Looks great and adds protection.
After reading the reviews that were 50/50 I decided to buy them anyway. It seems that the majority of the problems with customers were removing the 6 factory bolts from the vehicle (3 on each side)To make it easy I suggest you do what I did and take it to a garage and in less than 5 mins they can break them loose for you and they didn’t even charge me a penny. Trust me if you do it your self you will play hell trying to get these bolts loose, because there is no room to work and it is a very tight space and it will save you a lot of cuss words and wish you never bought this bully bar. I put this bar on a new 2023 Toyota 4Runner SR-5 Sport Utility for some front end protection. For me it wasn’t easy to install but was worth it after it was on. The instructions look like they were written on a small piece of paper and were worthless, but easy to figure out on your own. You install 2 brackets on the vehicle, 2 brackets on the bully bar, and join/bolt the brackets together. The good thing about the bar it comes with two threaded holes & bolts to attach your license tag/frame. You will not be able to attach the license frame back to the vehicle. Anyway It is more secure bolting it to carbon steel than to a plastic bumper.

Not an easy installation
This was anything but easy to put this gaurd on the truck, but have a few suggestions to help. Before you get started, crawl under the truck and take a look at the three bolts you have to remove, then put them back to secure the bracket. You will need a 12' + breaker bar and a 14 mm closed in wrench, (as slim as you can find one) Taking off is the easy part, then you have work around the bracket to bolt it back on. That is where the fun starts. See step 2Warning, if you are short tempered, may be better to pay to have someone else install for you.On step 4, use either spray foam insulation or a marine silicone to seal up the end of the bar to prevent premature rust. Go ahead and tighten the bolts then while you have full access to the bolts.Once on, promis you will like the bar, it makes the truck look good, but more importantly, it protect your $2500 plastic bumper. Pretty good investment if you ask me.

Did not interfere with my PCS sensor or my dynamic radar cruise control sensor!
I was worried about the bumper guard messing with my PCS and radar sensors in my front grill but it doesn't! Everything working like normal after installation. (2022 trail edition 4runner)Very nice looking and sturdy bumper guard. Packaged nicely. Installation is simple in theory as there really isn't much too it but it is extremely hard to access the bolts need to secure the bracket. Just no space at all to work with. Both my hands ended up scraped up and bleeding (minor cuts)I tried using gloves but the gloves just got snagged on things and made for even less room. Also getting the factory bolts off was very hard. I tried a rubber mallet first but that didn't get them to start loosening so I got a metal mallet and hit the heck out of the ratcheting wrench with it and that did the trick.Probably could have done the install in like 15 minutes if the access was easy but ended up taking about an hour due to the tight squeeze.I really like the bumper guard though. Looks perfect.Im going to buy the nerf bar side steps as well in a few weeks and also probably get the back end trailer hitch and have all 4 sides of my 4runner armored up by tyger auto products. (I also bought the tyger auto survival shovel and wrapped it for a christmas present for myself lol)

'21 4Runner SR5
Will fit a 2021 4Runner SR5. Item was well pkgd and delivered before ETA. Everything looks to be made of quality materials. NOTE Install is a bit difficult due to limited space to access mounting bolts on truck. Looks great and fit perfect.Highly recommend.

Looks sharp!
Took some tiem to install, some hard to reach places. Definitely take your time lining everything up just how you want it before tightening everything down. Once all is complete, looks sharp and zero issues. No signs of rust after one summer.

Works w/2020+ sensors unless dirty
Okay, I originally bought this at the end of 2020 for my 2020 4Runner TRD Off Road and I was nervous about it blocking the sensor. Well I’ve had it for almost two years now and have driven in different terrains and found out it will mess with the sensor if it gets real dirty. I’m not talking every day commuting type of dirtiness but like off-roading or long road trips type of dirty. Tbh I wouldn’t know if that’s the norm even if you didn’t install this because I installed mine shortly after it left the dealership. Now on to the install…a lot of reviews stated you need 2 people and that was going to be a problem for my one adult household during the prime of the stay-at-home b.s. So I am here to tell ya that one person can get this done by themself. And not to toot my own horn but as a woman in my thirties the install was cake. Granted you do need a torque wrench because a regular wrench won’t cut it and you’ll end up convincing yourself the factory welded it on. Also the reviews about it being a tight squeeze isn’t a joke, I have small hands so it wasn’t an issue but if you decide to install it with just one person keep that in mind.*Tip for single person install: For the initial placement, place a step stool or something comparable w/a blanket on top to hold up the opposite side while installing. Or do what I did and awkwardly sprawl out holding up the opposite side with your knee.
