Best smartphone since the orginal iPhone?
This is my favorite phone of the last 30 years! I've ended up getting one after both my wife and my parents got theirs. It's good value, it has snappy performance and the battery lasts well over a day. I ditched a phone with better specs and a 100+MP camera - because the software driving that phone's camera was dreadful. My wife's Pixel was our go-to camera even though my phone was "superior" on paper. At first, the Pixel seemed to get a bit hot and I was worried that would kill the battery life and feel uncomfortable, but another review said "persevere", after a few days the software works out how you use the phone. That reviewer was right, it never seems to get more than mildly warm now. (Thank you, other reviewer!)The cameras (front and rear) are fantastic - they capture really beautiful, vivid shots in all light conditions and selfies are flattering, without artificial filters. This is the first phone from which I've printed unedited shots. The only possible drawback is that it has 128GB of storage. The great camera means I take more pictures and video than I used to! That said, I have a few games, loads of apps, all my media and an extensive music library on it and I still have 30GB free.I am not a fan of massive phones and this is a good size. It's small enough (just) to use one handed and to disappear (just) in a pocket rather than look like you've got a spare paving slab in your trousers.I like it best in Chalk, but the green and grey are both also really smart.

Wow!
This phone has literally changed my life, and before anyone falls about laughing at my statement, let me explain a little. The Pixel 6a is a notable upgrade for me, and even though I've always had Android phones in the past, I was shocked to learn how much more the Google Pixel could do in comparison.Firstly, my Google Mini smart speaker now works so much better, the level of integration is on another level. If only I'd known that Pixel phones made other Google smart products work correctly, I'd have bought one much sooner. Now my smart home is smart and I've started learning how to use my previously bought (but long since ignored) Google Assistant products. As for the phones features, it's just obvious it's a quality product straight out of the box! If feels great, everything just works, the camera is (again) on a another level and takes amazingly clear and vibrant pictures.I could go on, but I won't bore anyone any further. Two things I don't like, the fact there's no 3.5mm headphone socket, that really annoys me. Bluetooth is great, but a hardwired connection is still far superior in some circumstances. And, the battery hasn't the stamina that I'm used, as I'm used to a 5000mAh. Although, this was something I was aware of prior to purchase, and a compromise I made as I wanted the far more important features that the 6a did offer. Too be honest, and on using the Pixel 6a for a few days now, the battery lasts long enough for my needs and I am a heavy user. I just have to remember to charge it at night, which is something I did with my last phone, and I now have a power bank for those times I go out camping and away from mains power. In summary, the positive attributes far outweigh the minor niggles, and I'm going to struggle to not buy anything other than a Pixel phone in the future!Goodness, doesn't that now mean I'm a Pixel addict? 🤣

Excellent phone for me
For about 4 years I have bought unlocked chinese phones. They are cheap and very well speced on paper. But after a short while battery life deteriorates significantly. Mysterious apps seem to appear on your phone (despite my virus protection package) and some western apps do not work. It was getting so bad that I could not rely on my phone to hold its charge to show my google wallet football ticket for a 3 pm kick off. So I decided to pay a bit more and go for the pixel. I don't regret it. Battery life is long and charge time is quick. All my apps and data came across without a glich. Functionality is good i.e. everything I have tried works. Ring Doorbell, Garnin Running app, Bluetooth headphones, Wallet etc etc.Picks up a weak signal which my other phones didn't.Maybe photos are important to you. To be frank I can't tell the difference between one camera of the other in this regard. So the camera function is fine for me.I did have a problem with Chrome misbehaving. Most manufacturers are hopeless at support. I found Google's solution from their web page. It took less than 2 mintes to search, identify and resolve the issue.I'm a 72 year old dinosaur in case any of you reading this are of a similar age.
