Interesting recipes, some difficult to find or expensive ingredients
The book starts with some background on what PCOS is, and what steps can be taken that may help to alleviate its symptoms. Then comes the main part of the book. The recipes. There are pictures of every recipe within the book, along with how long it takes to make, the number of servings, and macronutrients (Calories, Protein, Carb, and Fat), The recipe directions seem clear and the ingredients list comprehensive, which can make some recipes look daunting (though a lot of the ingredients could be different herbs or spices).I would have given this book 5 stars, but have removed one star as some of the ingredients in a number of recipes are exotic, meaning they are difficult to find (I can't find anyone who sells frozen pitaya slices in the UK!) and/or expensive. Admittedly they probably have their own particular advantages over other ingredients in how they may help with PCOS symptoms, but that hardly matters if you can't source them in the first place.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
