Q: Does anyone know the fuel consumption is like? Just wondering how long a two-litre bottle of fuel will last...

One full charge (which every time needs to be fully recharged) of 1,5L last at full power almost 5hs. In ECO mode you almost double it.

Q: Does this need connection via a plug to a power supply, or is it simply powered by the bio ethanol fuel? Thank you.

Needs power supply so no good in a power cut. Comes with plug. On testing Wattage about 600W to get started but once ignited meter registered 0W with flickers of about 50w presumably to maintain

Q: Does this give off heat or just effect?

It does both. Meant to give off 2.5kw.. When used in a medium size room 5x5m was cosy.

Q: How much, per hour, does it cost to run?

I paid £3.5 per L more or less when I buy the bio ethanol, with one full recharge you can run it at full power for almost 5hs. So if my math is right should be something like £1 per Hour
