Hey it works great and as advertised. My only problem with it, which most of these share, is that the power input would be much better placed at the same end as the cat 5 especially with the short usb-c lead coming off the opposite end. People generally don't have a lot of room on their desk and it can become cumbersome maneuvering one of these things around with wires hanging out everywhere. Having the input power come off the end instead of the side would make things easier. Of course if it also had at least a 3 ft usb-c lead, that would ease things. Most usb-c jacks don't do well with repeated lateral stresses so the more slack you've got the better.

So far it is working wellCharges the laptop well. 2 monitors well. No problems so far. Feels warm.

Has a good look and feel, and it does almost everything that I purchased it to do. I hooked up an Ext. BluRay Disc drive using the USB 3.1 and the USB 2.0 ports. I attached a generic USB A Hub to the second USB 2.0 port and inserted an SD card into the larger card slot. The USB-C input cable connects to one of the iMac USB-C ports. Performance is excellent and I am able to access all of the files on the SD Card. One slight disappointment was my inability to connect my older but great sounding Harmon Kardon Speakers/Sub-Woofer via the 3mm plug to the end of this unit. The iMac appeared to recognize it, but I was unable to select the correct speakers from System Settings...Instead, I used a USB-C to 3mm Audio adapter, and the iMac had no trouble recognizing the Sub-woofer and satellite speakers. I took off a Star for that. Other than that...It looks good, it works very well (except for the 3mm input) and I feel that it's worth the money I spent.

Updated review 17March2025 :MARSTECH (seller) reached out to me unprompted offering a full refund, so I can't fault their customer service, and have upped my rating.Not entirely happy with Lionwei (manufacturer) as the replacement I bought since this failure (same brand - different model) has got very hot and had one monitor stop working until power cycle after only a week. That one was in the return period, so going back. Probably won't be replacing with same brand this time, but going for a more expensive unit (larger for heat dissipation?). I don't think my use case is too abnormal - wired ethernet, 3 x USB, 2 x hdmi. Maybe its the (dell) laptop.Initially okay- After Hibernating my dell laptop I pretty much always had to rearrange windows- 2 x HDMI windows, one 4k, one 1080p vertical worked well- Ethernet, multiple USB-A connections - all good- started losing USB-A keyboard/mouse then one of the HDMI monitors after only a couple of months

So unfortunately I purchased this item but didn't get around to install it until after the return. It passed. When I hooked it up neither HDMI port would work. I look for updated drivers and tried to chat with the company but they don't have a phone number and their chat line was closed. After doing some exploration on their website I determine that the type C port on my laptop was not compatible with video output but while they have the below chart on their website they do not have it on their Amazon sales advertising so you don't know that most type c ports will not work!

I bought this to bring my work laptop home to be more comfortable using a larger monitor, keyboard, wireless mouse and dictation microphone. I was afraid that I was going to have to purchase a docking station, but this hub has done the trick. I can use everything without any difficulties!

The connectivity and form factor of this device are great. It replaced a larger bulky docking station and provides more connectivity. The problem is that the power output from the device is not the power level my laptop requires. So, I need to have both usb-c ports. One for power and one to connect to the dock. If the power output was adequate, I should be able to connect primary power to the dock and connect the dock to the laptop.
