Meant for children aged 4 years and older, these knives are very similar in look to ceramic knives meant for adults. The handles used on this child's knife set are sized appropriately for children, being long and large enough for them to grip and hold them securely. The blades used on this knife set are all serrated, and are sharp enough to actually be able to cut (or saw) through some foods, yet remain dull enough that children will not accidentally cut themselves when learning how to use them.It is important to realize this set of children's knives are not a pretend play set of knives, but rather a true set of child safe knives. Children will require adult supervision when using them, despite being child safe.According to the box this knife set comes in, they are BPA free and also dishwasher safe.

These are great for kids to learn how to cut. They do not seem to cut the skin, but will cut through fruits and veggies well. We have not tried it with anything hard like carrots yet but will update if it doesn’t work. It is definitely a fair price for the set of three. It seems to be very comfortable for kids to use and hold in their hands. They look like the pictures. I would recommend

My 3.5 year old loves using these! They work well for soft things, like bananas or cutting a sandwich. However it does take some strength for them to cut through some things since they’re not sharp. Apples are hard for example. Just something to keep in mind, as these are great to start having kids help in the kitchen but they will have some limitations.

These knives are perfect for my 4 year old who really wants to help with food prep in the kitchen. We've used them to cut all kinds of fruits and veggies. The "blades" are very forgiving for little hands just learning how to use a knife.

We love bringing the toddler into the kitchen with these knives! He’s a bit unpredictable so it’s great to have something safe. They do cut things like bananas, apples, cucumber, but won’t work for things like carrots. We LOVE that they’re dishwasher safe (who had the time?!?) still looking great 6 months of use later.
