Liquitex Professional Spray Paint, 12-oz (400ml), Brilliant Blue

I can see why some people are having a little trouble with this paint. It's pigment based, so, tiny little rocks ground up into tinier little rocks until it can be sprayed out. But that is where the trouble ends. The fact that you don't have all those toxic chemicals and this paint being water based is truly worth the hastle of learning how to use it. I recommend using this paint with a couple of caveats; first make sure the can is warm, this will activate the solvents a tad better. Second, shake for at least 4 to 5 minutes before use, and then when using, shake every 5 seconds rather than 10. When done, blot the spray nozzle off till you see the hole. I laid this paint on a wooden dowel using two layers of Titanium White followed by this gorgeous blue. I was a tad disappointed that the color was closer to blue painters tape rather than cerulean, but that's just me being picky. Next step is to cover this with varnish to seal in the color. Being that this is pigment based, the blue color should not fade as fast when exposed to sunlight vs using a synthetic blue color base. Good luck.

I bought the Liquitex to repaint and redigan my surf board and wasn’t sure how it was going to look since my board also needed ding repairs, and the paint was fading. I was very pleased with Liquitex, it looked good and worked well in the water.
