Great Tape!
Still one of the best sounding Analog cassettes out there. Properly recorded on a quality maintained deck they sound extraordinary. Almost as good as the CD. LeVe that home and go mobile with your masterpiece in this excellent media!

these are the genuine Maxell XLII-S HIGH BIAS Audio Cassette Tapes , sadly discontinued and no longer made by Maxell . very high quality

the Maxell XLII-S does the job just fine.
I needed a high quality cassette tape to test my Nakamichi CR-7A deck but couldn't find a preferred Metal version. This Maxell performed quite well, preserving the warm audio quality of the Talisman S cartridge through a Klyne SK-5 pre-preamp. If you can find metal cassette tapes, grab them. Otherwise, the Maxell XLII-S does the job just fine.

Excellent tape, VERY expensive
Excellent tape. Now 10x the price they were new! These were $5.99 for a 6 pack in the early 90's.....

False advertising
Do not buy these. They are listed as "Made in Japan" but the tapes that show up are made in England.

GREAT
Recording BLUES music with them from XM radio use dolby B, HX pro filter with MPX filter, record at + 3 or + 4 tops and I get wonderful sounding music.
