Great product.
Nice taste, expensive but well worth it, since using it I have had no bloating and I can feel it is helping my gut, haven't had to take Lansoprazole since the second day. Will be purchasing more very soon.

Definitely not cheap, but is one of the few things that has made a significant difference
I have a couple of underlying chronic conditions, both of which can impact my bowels. However, I found myself feeling especially terrible, with a lot of bloating and digestive distress, after a stay in hospital when I had been given a course of two antibiotics at the same time - shortly afterwards I diagnosed with IBS and as suffering from candida overgrowth, possibly linked to the antibiotic treatment. Over the course of a decade I tried numerous different interventions including taking well-known brands of probiotics over a long period of time, prebiotics, anti-candida treatments, moving to a ketogenic diet and modifying my exercise routine. In combination these have made a difference, but the probiotics and prebiotics I had tried were probably the least efficacious interventions of the lot. With Symprove, however, I saw clear improvements after around 8 weeks of treatment. It definitely was not overnight, and perhaps I wouldn't have seen these improvements without the dietary changes I had made well before starting the Symprove. However, about 2 months in I realised that I was no longer bloated after almost every meal, my appetite was far more consistent, I seemed to be having fewer sugar and carb cravings, and I was much more regular. Prior to Symprove, a couple of times a week I would experience stabbing sensation in my stomach; now I experience this twice a month at most.I have now been taking Symprove for almost 9 months, although I did have a two month break in the middle and gradually began experiencing more frequent digestive distress so did begin Symprove shortly thereafter. It seems that, for me at least, the benefits remain when I stay on the Symprove, and only for a few weeks after. I have found, however, that after the initial 10 weeks taking the full 70ml dose, I can then take just half that dose daily and still reap the full benefits.I've always ordered the Mango and Passion Fruit flavour; it's not especially pleasant, but I found that after a couple of weeks I was used to it. A few times I have forgotten to wait the full 10 minutes before eating and drinking, having taken the Symprove on an empty stomach first thing. Nothing awful happened, although I did feel a little nauseous.Given the benefits I've experienced, I've recommended this product to friends and family, including those who have struggled with IBS and Coeliac disease, all of which have reported experiencing similar benefits to myself. One of them had also had the product recommended to them by a Nurse. That said, some seemed to experience improvements in the first couple of weeks, whereas a relative took Symprove for almost 4 months before experiencing similar improvements. It is definitely not cheap, but when looking at the cost of taking other probiotics (some of which you need to take multiple times a day) it's not too bad and for me personally, given its effectiveness, I have found it well worth the price.

Kombucha VS Symprove
Purchased the mango symprove. The jar that says organic and symprove, is Organic kombucha, mixed with symprove. The jar stated as organic kombucha is just that. I understand they are very different strains of bacteria they do different things. However what this shows is that the symprove has inhabited the growth of the kombucha bacterial strains. Both were made in December and left in the same cupboard. Both were fed tea and sugar , naturally I expect the kombucha to flourish. But it showed thar mixing the symprove in has stunted the growth of the other bacteria.Noticed that in the ingredients, it has potassium sorbate. A growth inhibitor of bacteria. I understand this is to stop scoby growth and keep it fresh for shelf life. But it does make me wonder... as it has inhabited the growth of the other one quite dramatically if it is more harmful than helpful ?

Some of product out of date
Order was for 3 months product. All had Best Before date of 19/1/25, which meant that final month bottle would be past Best Before. I realise that BB is not the same as Use By, however this is an expensive product and I am concerned that this might mean the health benefits are less than optimal. Certainly, I would not accept that BB date from a shop.Delivery was prompt.

Quality live probiotic
I was recently introduced to this at a health fair.I get bloaty/crampy IBS that can at times be horribly debilitating not to mention incredibly painful. I've done quite a bit of reading into probiotics to try and support/improve my symptoms - there's a vast choice and mixed reviews as to effectiveness. The plus points of this:live bacterial strains - the claim is "quicker activation" than freeze-dried counterpartseasy to take form that ensures maximum bacterial transit to the intestinal tractdoesn't contain anything to stimulate digestion - again, this backs the assertion that it then allows more of the bacteria to reach beyond the stomach - all those yoghurt based ones will get attacked by your stomach acid dealing with the protein.clinical trial results to back their claims run by a reputable hospital in London (there are few enough of those, and it does help to take some of the "guess work" out of effectiveness - although I'm a great believer in using placebo effect too, after all a placebo is a powerful thing with few side-effects!)The points raised by other reviews:Taste - personally I like the taste, it's really grown on me... and if you don't like it you can dilute with water really easily! It's a bit sour/vinegary. But if you've ever taken neat cider vinegar, this is frankly sweet nectar! There is also a flavoured fruity version (too sweet for my taste) and they're bringing out an apple/cinnamon variety in the new year.Expensive - yes it is (but so is any really good quality probiotic - and generally you get what you pay for). Also, I judge it in context of what price a comfortable/less stressed out gut has on my life and what I'm willing to shell out for that. It works out at less than £2 per day if you buy as a 4-pack and take the 50ml dose. That's less than the price of a fluffy coffee from a well-known tax-dodging coffee shop! on balance, I'd rather have this.the other thing, being liquid form - it's relatively bulky compared to tablet forms. I don't mind, it's well packaged and I'm not globe-trotting! There's also the advantage of it not having to have weird fillers and preservatives which many pill forms have.So has it worked for me?I have definitely had improvement in my condition, and a much more stable gut = less stressed unhappy me. I'm all for that. No I haven't had a complete cure, but then I didn't expect one - the gut is complex and relies on good consistent diet practices too, which due to work/stress/hours is rather disrupted at the moment. Indeed, in light of that I believe that the Symprove has had a marked supportive effect for me and I'm happy with the product.I'm about 55 days in, I've said I'll give it the recommended full 90 days before I decide whether I remain on it or cut it out (hence the 4 stars, as thus far, thus good, but I will try to remember to update after the full 3 months!). An expensive experiment? Perhaps, but I consider it worth while if it gives me a better quality of life as a result. It's horses for courses - there's no guarantee that it will be a silver bullet for you, but not every treatment works for every person in every situation. I also recommend phoning Symprove and having a chat to one of their staff - they're really friendly/helpful and may be able to give more tailored advice for your particular condition.
